Agnes, the cat, loves it.
Easy to fill, haven’t had it long but seems tough and easy to clean

But too big
This is very good, but just a bit too big for smaller cats.

Very good product.
Pros:- good size, difficult to lose it- can be opened/unscrewed into two halves which makes cleaning very easy and refills are easy too- the bottom of the “egg” has a rubberized opening which allows cats to get tongues inside, so you can use wet food/tuna in it as well as dry kibbles, and they can lick it out- top openings for can be adjusted to suit a range of treat/kibble sizes- can set the openings to be closed, 1 open, 2 open or all 3 openCons:- can be tricky to get the treads lined up properly to screw it closed. There’s a knack to it. Has to be exactly right or else it won’t screw together, or can screw together crookedly.- bottom of egg is not weighted, so it just rolls on it’s side and the kibble comes out easily, so the cat doesn’t have to work as hard for It as they do with round treat balls. Would be good if it was weighted in the bottom so that it wobbles around but stands itself up again, like a jumping bean!Overall great product, would recommend.

Simple but effective
Cat loves it. Keeps him busy. You can change the size of the holes to restrict the amount of food/treats which is handy.

Cat loves it, it's not super durable.
First off, my cat thinks it's wonderful. It's a mealtime game changer for a food anxious rescue and I will buy another when it breaks. But it's far from perfect.I had to take out the spring and superglue the holes at a particular size as a fiddly piece of plastic sheered off very soon after purchasing. After that it's held up to daily use from an enthusiastic hungry cat and the occasional errant toe punt for four months. The plastic around the screw thread area where you open and close it is now starting to split/sheer so it will be game over soon.

okay but….
it’s okay. it’s a bit expensive for what it is and my cat got used to it very quickly and eventually we had to stop using it because we would just wake up to lots of food all over the floor. when he got good at it, he wouldn’t eat properly what he dispensed and would keep rolling out more kibble leaving lots of half bitten kibble pieces everywhere. after a few days even on the hardest setting it barely became a puzzle for him. also it’s pretty hard twisting the egg open.

This 'egg' is quite big!
I bought this to replace one that my cat had broken and it looked quite similar in the pictures and description. However it is a lot bigger, heavier and seems pretty solid. The adjustable apertures for the biscuits to exit works well and can control the effort that has to be made by the cat to get results. However the drawback with this 'egg' is that it does not stabilise in any particular orientation and just rolls around until stopped be a vertical surface. The old one stabilised to the base (like a weeble!) and therefore stayed within a small area. Our little boy didn't really get on with the new one so I fixed the old one for him. Back to the drawing board if he breaks it again!

My cat can use and seems to enjoy "hunting" for her food
I bought this because my cat is a "guzzler" who eats all the food she is given very quickly, and always seems hungry. Slowing down her eating gives her brain more time to reguster how much she has eaten. And the puzzle adds an element of play to meal times. I got a much larger food puzzle later. They both work well. This unscrews in the middle. You put small cat biscuits inside. You have to get used to not dropping the biscuits out as you are loading them. Place on a flat floor - e.g. laminate or vynil. Then spill a few bics out of it with cat watching you. Then my cat will repeatedly roll the ball with her paw to extract the bics and eat. My cat still gets the biscuits quite quickly from this, though you can adjust the size of the holes the biscuits fall through. Every cat is different. I can only say this wirks for my cat.
