Trixie Dog Bicycle Trailer, Medium, Grey

The trailer is fantastic. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews that said it was difficult to put up but it was no problem and the way it folds down makes it ideal for putting in the garage of our Motorhome. I can put it up and down in minutes. I love the construction, the look and the ability it affords us to take our dog on our bike rides. It took our dog a bit to get used to it and if I'm honest he still is not to y'all happy in it but once we are moving he settles down. I had the same problem as one of the other reviewers in that one of the tyres was down and I had to get a replacement tube. I was also lucky that I had a pump that fitted the old style valves. Having said that the tyres are very easy to blow up.I am glad I purchased the larger trailer even though we have a small dog. The look is better and it is well constructed. You get what you pay for. Just remembered a problem we had with fitting the small metal part that the trailer hooks onto on the bike. Once I had removed the quick release part from the skewer there wasn't enough thread on which to properly tighten the little metal part. A visit to our local bike shop solved the problem and I purchased a longer skewer. Anyway apart from those couple of teething problems I am extremely satisfied with our purchase.

We bought this for my father's arthritic Elkhound. We couldn't get the next size up as not in stock so took a chance on this as we were going away in two weeks. The medium is a little small for Codi (the dog)but with the front open she can get comfy and see everything.The trailer is great. We bought the conversion kit so we could push her and it was a real godsend on our holiday. Codi quickly realised that it meant she could get around with us with no effort or pain and seemed to really enjoy her trips out. She got a lot of attention from passers-by - you'd think no one had ever seen an Elkhound in a pram before.It's a shame it doesn't collapse as it is bulky but the bits that do come off are quick to remove and put back. It went in the back of our Yaris with the seats down with space for other bits and pieces. It did mean we had to take two cars everywhere but I'm sure it would go on a roof rack with no bother.It arrived quickly and we were all very happy with it.

The product is perfect EXCEPT for one major safety problem: the zip-fasteners that closes the mesh door at the front of the trailer are deficient and I no other option than to return the product. There are two zips and they were immediately difficult to close. About half way round, the zips stopped connecting the flap to the main part of the canopy. It is a pity as the trailer is otherwise excellent.

This is the E-Type of dog trailers! Very sturdy and sleek of design. It folds away flat easily and fits together simply. The build quality is excellent. The medium size is fine for my border collie, who climbed in and went to sleep straight away when I first put it together. It has a harness point to keep him in and a flag to show motorists where you are. There are openings front, back and top, with rain covers front and top. I'm very impressed and looking forward to lots of adventures on the Cornish trails. So is Ted...

I love this trailer. Well designed comfortable for my two dogs. I had it set up indoors for a week and encouraged my dogs to get inside with the reward of a treat. Next phase was short bike rides with plenty of treats. It’s light and very responsive to the bike. Easy to fix to the back of the bike. I brought medium size which is big enough for my two poodle crosses. Easy to collapse to flat and we have brought it to take away in our Motorhome so we can easily store away and assemble when we need to use it. The only thing I won’t be using is the flag on the back.

This is exactly what I was looking for so we can all enjoy our bike rides together. My dog has never been in anything like this but is very comfortable and seems very happy it. Lots of lovely bike rides to come now 😊It was extremely easy to assemble and connect to the bike with a very quick and easy release option too. Would highly recommend.

On unpacking I found both tyres were flat and the spokes on both wheels were rattling and loose, they needed needed tightening the wheel trued up..Flat tyres not a problem but slack spokes is unacceptable , not a big problem for me, I do all my own bicycle maintenance but for those less handy they may need to visit a bike shop to have this sorted, that would cost in the region of £45 for an hours labour.After assemble, blowing up tyres and fixing the spokes, I gave it a test ride.First thing I noticed was the towbar is off center and the trailer rides on the left of the center of the bike.. I caught a few kerbs before I realised this was partly to blame.. not an issue, but you have to beware when cornering not to hit the kerb., this could lead to overturning the trailer!The fabric quality is ok, but the zips and stitching is not the best quality so I don't expect this trailer to last long. I guess in the end you get what you pay for and now wish I had bought a better quality product.

This has proved to be an essential piece of kit for my dogs . It is sturdy, stands up to the heaviest downpour and easy to tow also very simple to put up and fold away.

Lijkt een degelijke kar. Eerste was ene Nad kapot, Amazon heeft dat super opgelost door direct een nieuwe te sturen. We zijn er nu 1 keer mee op pad geweest en lijkt een prima kar.

The media could not be loaded.   Meine Rezension zum Trixie 12807 Fahrrad-AnhängerAllgemeines:Wir haben den Anhänger in Größe M am 04.05.2019 für unseren 2 Jahre alten Kleinspitz (6,5 kg) Milow gekauft.Die Größe M ist groß genug, dass unser Kleinspitz Milow und der Kleinspitz unserer Tochter in diesem Anhänger ausreichend Platz haben.Nach meiner persönlichen Einschätzung ist die Größe M für Hunde bis zu einem Gewicht bis ca. 20 kg realistisch.Der Hersteller gibt zwar mehr Zuladung an, aber bei schwereren/größeren Hunden über 20 kg würde ich persönlich die Größe L wählen.Lieferung:Wie von Amazon gewohnt, wurde der Fahrradanhänger schnell geliefert.2 Tage nach der Bestellung stand abends DHL vor meiner Türe und hat mir das Paket gebracht.Zusammenbau:Der Zusammenbau des Anhängers ist sehr einfach und er ist innerhalb weniger Minuten fahrbereit.Fahrradanhänger aus dem Karton nehmen, Deichsel ausklappen und mit Splint und Sicherung arretieren, die Räder einfach durch das Klick-Schnellbefestigungssystem aufstecken, Stoßstange anschrauben (hier benötigt man einen Schraubendreher, damit sich die Schraube nicht mitdreht, wenn man auf der anderen Seite die Flügelmutter festzieht), dann den Fahrradanhänger umdrehen, so dass er auf den Rädern steht, die Seitenwände hochklappen und die Querstange innen nach oben klappen und mit dem Splint und Sicherung arretieren.Wenn man das ein paar mal gemacht hat, ist der Fahrradanhänger innerhalb weniger Minuten aufgebaut.Für Menschen mit 2 linken Händen dauert es sicher etwas länger, aber das sollte trotzdem jeder hinbekommen.Dies gilt ebenso für den Abbau. Man kann den Anhänger als kleines Paket im Auto mit in den Urlaub nehmen oder bei Nichtgebrauch z.B. im Winter den Anhänger zum Einlagern platzsparend in einem Karton verstauen.Hier hat sich der Hersteller wirklich Gedanken gemacht. Einfacher geht es wirklich nicht.Die mitgelieferte Kupplung ist in Ordnung, sauber lackiert, hat keine unsauberen Schweißnähte und auch keine scharfen Grate.Trotzdem habe ich mir die Velmia Fahrradanhänger Kupplung über Amazon gekauft und montiert, da diese an der Vorder-/Rückseite Riffelungen hat und gegen ein Verdrehen noch besser hält.Pflege:Ich habe die Reissverschlüsse mit Silikonspray behandelt. Das erhöhrt die Lebensdauer, es klemmt nichts und sie gehen so gut wie alleien auf und zu.Die Umspannung des Käfigs ist aus pflegeleichtem Polyester und sieht zudem in der Farbgestaltung (schwarz, grau, gelb) noch gut aus.Wenn das Material bei einer Regenfahrt schmutzig geworden ist, einfach mit einem Schwamm und etwas Wasser mit Spülmittel abwischen.Die Deichsel, Stahlrahmen und Stoßstange mit einem WD40-getränktem Lappen abreiben. So bleibt alles sauber und ist vor Rost geschützt.Abschließendes Urteil:Unser Kleinspitz liebt diesen Anhänger und wir mussten ihn nicht groß eingewöhnen.Der Sicherheitsgurt ist gerade lang genug, dass er am Hundegeschirr befestigt werden kann, so dass er auch oben aus dem Dachfenster rausschauen kann.Sowohl am Fahrrad, als auch am Pedelec fährt sich der Hundeanhänger gut. Er hat eine gute Straßenlage und wirkt in Kurven auch nicht kippelig.Von der Geschwindigkeit sollte man natürlich angepasst fahren (20 bis max. 25 km/h).Der Fahrradanhänger ist durch seinen Metallrahmen sehr stabil und von mir bekommt dieser Anhänger für die Handhabung, Zuverlässigkeit und das gute Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis 5 Sterne.Ich hoffe meine Rezension ist etwas hilfreich zur Kaufentscheidung.Ein paar Fotos und ein Video habe ich beigefügt.
