Love this story & James and Penny😍

I’ve read the hunted series more than once, and was so excited to read it from James’ point of view. It did not disappoint! It was great to read how he felt and what he was like away from Penny. It was nice to see how he interacted with characters that appear in the later books of the hunted series. After reading penny’s point of view, it was great to know where head was in key moments. The scenes got hotter reading it from his side, and I fell in love with him all over again. Their love story is always going to be my favourite. The ending has me desperate to keep reading, so I hope Ivy doesn’t keep us waiting too long! I hope the whole series will be realised from his point of view. Another brilliant book from Ivy, a definite must read!

This is the first book I've read with main male character point of view as the telling of the story. And it took some getting used to. From the beginning I thought James was an old stoggy professor. The way he talked and his thoughts didn't line up for a 27 year old in my mind. The age difference was a non-issue. But James right?The story line was good, some scenes definitely better than others.

This book is insanely good! Insanely! You know other authors who have written an alternative POV, well, they need to take some tips from Ivy as reading from James POV was so revealing, knowing what was going through his mind was fascinating. The book flowed so well, was so well written, far better than other alternates I have read before.After reading Temptation from Penny's POV I always wondered what James thought, what he was doing when he wasn't with her, how he felt etc and Obsessed gives you all the details, I mean ALL the dirty, loving caring details that you may have wondered about.If you've read any of the Empire High books, and loved teenage James, you will love him even more, I really just want to give him a hug :-)I really hope the rest are written soon!!

I couldn't read this, I kept expecting it to flip over to female POV, but it never did. I don't even like dual POV, in my opinion all good romance books are first person, heroine only POV.

Omg I love this book I couldn't put it down, poor james he needs someone to love him and care for him but the shock was a big one 🤫 can't wait to read book 2 xc

I probably read about 3-4 books a week and this is the 1st “romance” (nice way of saying spicy!) that is told from the male perspective rather than the female.....and I loved it! Looking forward to the drama to come.

I enjoyed this book far more than I thought I would.Now I can’t wait to start book 2 and I hope it is as good or better.

I loved this book. It was kind of weird because I was reading the hunted series in Penny’s pov. I read a review where the reviewer said she had read all 3 books in Jame’s pov. So I looked into it and found them. I still read the first 3 books in the Hunter series Penny’s pov and now I’m off to reading James’ pov.This was really a great book. Exiting, scorching hot and getting to see the mysterious of James.The thing I recommend is that you that you read the Hunted series first, it makes reading James pov makes it so much more hotter and gives you more of a perception of this books.Some people haven’t read the Hunted series and if they don’t look at customer’s reviews they may try reading this series first there may not be as much context to truly draw you in.

I most definitely love the guys pov, well, i love the guy's tale in a story, not just a retelling, it's like reading a whole different bookLook at that ending, 6 books from Penny's pov and we had no idea that had happened

An entire book with a James Hunter point of view and it was a fantastic read. Another great addition to the Hunted world and so great to hear James view of all his and Penny's interactions and his discussions with family, friends and his therapist. Looking forward to the rest of Hunted series in James POV!

I loved this in case it wasn’t obvious by my rating. You may think this book was going to be repetitive but you’re wrong. This felt like a new book despite being Temptation but in James pov.This was enlightening and interesting in so many ways…I was excited and scared to be in James’s mind but let me tell you, it was enlightening. The way his mind works is so relatable and a person with his past can only do so much. He has so much low esteem and self loathing… All of his life, he never felt love or happiness and that’s just sad. I felt for him on a deep level and it made him so relatable.His sessions with Dr. Clark were interesting. In his first session I was like “ Doc do you even know what you’re doing” but on the second session I was like “ yep Doc, you do know what you’re doing “ and also we do get to see what it was like for him and what he felt at the time when he was in college so that means everything that happened in Empire High and wasn’t that a revelation of events. I loved reading his pov and be able to pin point what happened in that point of his life.Every single time James thought of penny it was either so sweet or hot or depressing. Professor Hunter is definitely a sexy men but with a lot of baggage and issues.The last chapters where James “left Penny” I was like “ it’s not like her lie was worse than yours “ but still it’s understandable why he felt like he can’t trust anyone because let’s face it , if everyone in your life only lied to you wouldn’t you have the same trust issues? Still do I think it was necessary for him to leave her? No, I don’t because again I think his lie was worse but he was so overwhelmed with what she told him plus what was crossing through his mind at the time wasn’t great, he though he was a monster so again understandable.Honestly I kind of fascinated with his mind.Now I may or may not have called Isabella a b**ch a few times because like James said she’s crazy and a psycho and we all know how many problems she creates for our favorite characters so I just couldn’t control myself. 🤷‍♀️I’m so glad we eventually don’t have to deal with her anymore.Anyways , fabulous story and I’m even more excited to read Addiction from James pov!Excellent job Ivy 🖤

Holy hell. This book hearing those scenes in James pov and other filthy thoughts in his mind🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥pure fire. Full five star spice rating here 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🥵🥵When I thought I couldn’t love James more, Ivy was like game on and she brought it 100%!! The pure emotion and battle he deals with on the inside.You had some of your favourite scenes and you had some new inside to what James was doing away from penny which was absolutely incredible to see especially his relationships with other characters.This book draws you in and leaves you wanting more and more from James pov. He shows you exactly why we love the hunted/ light to my darkness series and keep coming back for more.Jokes on anyone who thought just because we have read it all that the ending couldn’t be killer or leave you wanting more because you are mistaken. The ending blew my mind 🤯🤯 and I will be first in line to read James pov book two!! Hands down this is a must read book, to call it a masterpiece isn’t enough!!!
