SonyEricsson Original AN401 Compact Car Charger and Micro USB Data Cable for Sony Ericsson Handsets [non-retail packaging]

I came upon this after searching around Amazon for a while looking for USB in-car chargers. My concerns were: build quality, compatibility with my kit, and unwanted radio interference in the car.- Being a Sony Ericsson product, it's got a good build quality and feels like it should last a while.- I'm using it to charge a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT5830, and a Sansa Clip+ MP3 player. They both charge fine, and the Sansa Clip can charge and play music through my car system at the same time.- I'm driving a Nissan Micra (Old K11 model). The charger fits snugly and securely into the cigarette lighter socket, and as yet has not caused any interference at all to the FM radio reception or general music playback.Highly recommended. I think it's worth the few extra quid for something that's built well and works well.

Bought this a while ago, the "bullet" usb charger is great, small and compact, but the cable has a weakness in the thick cylindrical part and eventually failed. Luckily everything comes with a spare cable these days!!

Bang on, works great. Had it for a while now and it works perfectly.The cable and charger both are charger quality, not just the lower ampage cables you get for transferring data, this is a proper charger.When its working, you can hear slight interference if youre using an aux cable, but thats going to happen with every charger. The important thing is that it works consistently, it looks good in the car and its durable, it ticks all these boxes. I would recommend this as a good charger for any android phone.

Simple USB to micro USB lead for Sony smart-phones, plus a 12 volt car adapter.Well made and works well - though some [including me] might prefer a coiled lead. At £5.04 delivered, it represents something of a bargain!

Very neat and compact car charger. My HTC android phone recognises the charger as AC rather than USB so draws approximately 1 amp from it, charges as fast as the original HTC wall charger. The first one I ordered appeared to work (LED lit and phone said charging), but was drawing 46mA 12v with or without phone connected, and outputting less than 1mA 3.8v with phone connected (i.e. didn't actually charge). The reseller gave an immediate refund so I purchased an identical replacement from another reseller and it works perfectly.UPDATE: Ordered another one of these 3 years later for my wife's car, and now another year on they are both working brilliantly. This is the only phone charger I've found that fits our Mazda 6 and Smart ForTwo, all other chargers need holding in to work in our cars (I suppose different cars have slightly different depth sockets?)

Faulty.....did not work....Tried the 'Sony Ericsson Original AN401 Car Charger and Micro USB Data Cable' in THREE different vehicles.Green light comes on and that is your lot!***UPDATE*** I am very impressed with the seller contacting me regarding my negative review.Although I have given the product a bad review,I do understand that some goods come in faulty or damage and it is impossible for the seller to check each and every item before sending then out.I was offered a replacement,but I had already bought the above item from another supply.(Due to the item only costing £5.05 I didn't think to bother with returning it)It was just a shame that the item I received was faulty.Although the majority of customers are happy with the product and given it 4 or 5 stars.Because the seller had contacted me and shown concern,and has given me a full refund with no quibbles,I can say that the customer services is very good.I give the seller 5 out of 5 for customer service.

Works well in car

Car charger was fine exactly what i needed but when i used the Micro cable the connection to the phone would only work intermittently which with the movement of the car didn't work. As it was a good price I have not contacted the seller, will use my own Micro cable on my mains charger.

First of all regarding delivery,as usual it was great,next regarding the product,as name suggests sony is always good at product quality,perfect fit at car charger port,fast charging and great usb cable with high quality,some may feel product is over priced,may be but still quality is par better,recommended

Fonctionne comme prévu. Mon téléphone se recharge correctement en voiture.Attention cependant, la taille de la prise (très courte) peut rendre l'insertion dans le logement de l'allume-cigares un peu délicate, surtout si comme dans la voiture, il faut forcer un peu car c'est assez serré.Ceci étant, la qualité des plastiques est au rendez-vous. On sent que l'on n'a pas de la "cacaille" entre les mains (les prises sont bien serties, les câbles sont costauds).

Lange hab ich ein KFZ-Ladegerät gesucht um mein stromhungriges Xperia Arc auch unterwegs zu füttern.Etliche Modelle hab ich durch. Von billig bis schlecht, von noch billiger bis noch schlechter, uber absolut unbrauchbar. Kontaktprobleme, gebrochene Kabel, bis hin zu einfach nicht erkennen des Smartphones. Hab alles erlebt was einen in den Wahnsinn treiben kann.Das ist nun endlich Geschichte. Dieses Ladegerät kann man ruhigen Gewissens mit einem Wort beschreiben: Top!Es sollte gesagt werden, dass es ein original Kabel von Sony Ericsson ist. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, soweit man das von einem Kabel behaupten kann. Das Kabel selbst lässt sich nochmal vom Adapter trennen, sodass man's auch als USB-Datenkabel am Rechner verwenden kann um beispielsweise Daten zu transferieren.Was ich schade finde ist, dass das Kabel sehr kurz geraten ist...hat mich beim Ladekabel, welches im Lieferumfang des Telefons dabei war, schon gestört. Aber im Auto fällt das auch nicht so auf, weil man ja eigentlich (im Normalfall) beim Fahren nicht durch die Karre rennen sollte. ;)Nach bereits einer Stunde ist mein Telefon wieder vollständig geladen. Das geht echt fix.Ich kann jedem, der unterwegs nicht auf sein Handy verzichten möchte, dieses Ladekabel wärmstens empfehlen. Qualitativ solch hochwertige Originalware zu so einem Preis ist einfach unschlagbar.Von mir also, trotz des sehr kurzen Kabels, eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

En resumen, muy bueno.Acabo de probarlo y funciona correctamente. Aparenta buena calidad en todos los sentidos y es bastante pequeño comparado con otros cargadores de coche, aún con menos amperios de salida.Recordad que tiene una salida de 1.2 amperios, que para un cargador de coche está muy bien.Ahora falta ver que tal aguanta el uso, si hay novedades actualizo la opinión.
