This allows you to figure out which type of art you prefer and which type you don't like, rather than having to buy individual small samples of things. However, the skill range of the kit is set from kindergarten up through maybe Middle School or higher (connect the dots and mazes, to fine detail drawing and oil pastels). Many of the things (such as the stickers, gems, activity sheets and paper, and the cardstock stencil) are just gimmicky to increase the quantity count. Most of the counts of the supplies are misleading because they are including duplicates.
