UK Visitor Mains Adaptor - USA / Australia / EU / China To UK In White

I'm shocked that this product is still selling on Amazon. I bought this without reading the reviews because it clearly says 'Australian' in the product description. It clearly does not suit Australian plugs. What is most confusing is that the actual packaging has an Australian flag on it. DO NOT BUY for an Australian plug!! Massive inconvenience.

This adaptor was wrapped so badly.The actual plug will not take my 2 pin plug for my toothbrush. I literally can't push it in any further (see pic).Awful product. Shameful that they don't test them before charging customers.NOT RECOMMENDED.

This adapter is not fit in any way for purpose. The receptacles for the plug pins are locked solid in the closed position making it impossible to use. Avoid or buy and regret it.

there are two types of European plugs, one without earth and one with. This is not explained when you buy this. We bought this for an earthed european plug and when we tried it the appliance would not work and gave off mild electric shocks. Not sure why you would make a plug that does not have an earth when there are plugs that do so easily available, just looks like an accident waiting to happen. Surprised the EU has such poor safety standards, thank god for proper British stanrdards.

I bought this for my flat and round pin chargers from China. It fits securely into the mains, and the chargers fit tightly into the adapter. It works for both types of chargers equally well, although it does take a little more force to fit the flat pin chargers than the round ones, but both fit well and it’s not difficult to put them in.It doesn’t feel like the cheaper ones you can get, and it came exactly as pictured. I’m happy with this so far and if I need another, I’ll go with this again as it’s fairly inexpensive compared with some others.

I bought a couple of these to use in my garage to utilise some american spotlights left over from an exhibition booth. It was impossible to push the live & neutral of 2-pin plug past the built-in safety shutters. I tried to access the other slots in an attempt to move the shutters out of the way but it was no go. I finished up destroying the shutters with my drill before getting good contact with the 2-pins. Now they are in place they work okay and where I am using them is where they will stay. I will definitely not use them in the house for American friends and relatives when they visit. I bought some from another supplier a few months ago that cost about 50p more and worked well. It's my own fault for trying to save a few pence.

Got this to use with an item purchased in US, but couldn't get prongs to go into the slots. On closer inspection I could see that the slots were both the same size, whereas one of the prongs on my item was wider than the other. As the adapter was quite cheap it wasn't worth the hassle of returning. Luckily my toothbrush has a European plug so have put on that, rather than the razor adapter I used previously.

I don’t understand, this is advertised as a U.K. tourist adaptor that will convert international pin plugs (including USA) to fit U.K. three pin mains sockets, but my USA laptop charging cable will not even fit into the adaptor - I nearly damaged my cable trying to get it to work thinking it was just stiff! I’m not sure why this is but I can’t use this device at all and I can’t return it as it has been opened/tried. Very confused by this and not pleased.
