Interesting Recipes that are Quite Tasty
I bought this book because I wanted to have a cooking source that I could look at while cooking instead of having it on my phone. I also actively sought out one that would be for making anti-inflammatory meals. Here are the things I noticed/will speak on:- The recipes are truly, truly tasteful. All of our household family members have anti-inflammatory problems and we found that across the board, the recipes are suitable for different palettes.- The recipes are adaptable. They can be made with substitutions (although it does not directly list substitutes), which gives even one recipe variety.- There is a lack of photos in the book, which was a little disappointing. When compared to the outside of the book, the book does feel a little bland in its design. On the other hand, I can understand from a business perspective that because it is printed simply, it makes the book less costly (as compared to larger books with colored pages/photos and/or gloss/semi-gloss paper) and more affordable.- Recipes are ordered by type of food: desserts, entrées, etcetera. I would have liked to have a larger section of recipes for main dishes/courses. So far, when I do cook and use cookbooks or use recipes online, it is for main dishes. We usually do not cook/make desserts or have simple desserts.Overall, worth its money. It also serves as a visual reminder to remember to cook for health (not just flavor) as well as inspiring us to continue to cook more affordable family meals instead of eating out or getting fast food.

listen to your body
The author explains what inflammation can do to the body and how to quell it. Once inflammation is reduced, the body can rid itself of some excess weight through healthy eating, and improve the immune system.a large variety of recipes is included.

Great Starter Info
I’m just beginning my life change journey and researching healthy meals to cook. This book has great info for beginners and has several good recipes to try.

Okay but not the best.
This was an okay book but not the best presentation. One recipe was only partially completed. I probably wouldn’t purchase again.

Easy recipes for starting diet
I just received the book and have not made the recipes. However, I went through entire book and most recipes look tasty and easy. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because many recipes call for an Instant Pot, which I do not have as I don’t like them. I will have to recalculate cooking time.

Heal the body through dietary changes
This book looks at what inflammation is and what is does in the body. Obviously, the book focuses on diet as the primary way to change the inflammation. We then get into the recipes. The recipes are divided in a pretty traditional way, by meal type of main food group/protein type. The recipes use a lot of fresh produce and whole foods. I also think that almost all the recipes with appeal to a variety of tastes. At the end of the book is a list of 10 beginner exercises that can be done at home without a lot of extra equipment needed. So, that was a nice way to close the book.

Excited to try
I just received this cookbook and I’m excited to try it. Lots of great recipes. I did notice in the dinner section on pages 39-41,the recipe doesn’t show how long it should be cooked in the directions. Maybe I just look at the cook time in the summary at the top. I’m sure I’ll figure it out but wanted to let the author know.

Outdated, very harmful information
The information is outdated and potentially very harmful. Stay away from this book!As one example, the muesli style oatmeal recipe on page 16 includes 2 tsp of Splenda - to make 1 serving of oatmeal. Research has clearly demonstrated that artificial sweeteners containing sucralose can INDUCE inflammation in the gut (see Basson et al 2021). Splenda is included in many recipes. There are also several recipes with bromide plus powder included, but no explanation as to what this is, or it’s anti inflammatory properties. I researched this and it’s a SUPPLEMENT, usually taken in a pill form. It should never be included in a recipe without a clear warning. The author doesn’t know anything about the medications a reader is on, and any supplement should be cleared with a doctor before taking. If someone starts having medical issues, they might not think to mention that they had an “apple blueberry smoothie” (page 19) that they added 1/2 tbsp of bromide powder to! I’m getting quite annoyed as I write this…Many of the recipes have 12+ ingredients, many of which wouldn’t typically be used very often (eg “sparking callaloo”). I don’t have a clue what this is, or where to find it. And I live in a big, multi cultural city. The author makes no mention of a substitution. The same recipe includes “sparkling soft jelly coconut water”, and again, makes no mention of its health benefits or a substitution if you can’t find it.I’m very concerned that there’s no information provided on the author or her credentials. She certainly doesn’t know how to spell - see the pictures I’ve included with obvious errors on the COVERS. If you can’t be bothered to make easy edits, I cannot trust that the nutritional information you’ve provided is accurate. I could mention there are no photos provided, but the other issues are far, far more serious

Not what I thought
Really didn’t like this book, the recipes are not appealing and not really something that anyone I know would eat

Not what I expected
I expected a proper cool book with images and not a couple of grainy black and white images. Very cheaply made.
