Small pieces. Perfect size for my tiny bantam hens.
This is very fine oyster shell and seems good quality. Great for my tiny bantam hens who couldn't manage regular sized oyster shell. A huge amount for the price. Note the sack is VERY heavy because it is dense. I have a small flock at it will last them years.

Excellent for small bantams!
We have a few bantams of varying sizes, the smaller ones find the normal chinky grit too big to swallow, so I mix some of this extra fine grit in with their feed and they seem to eat it ok. I still supply the chunky grit for the bigger birds. Since using this we have not had any soft-shelled eggs apart from when the chicken was disturbed and didn't get go back to the nest but dropped the egg under the bushes.Would definitely buy again, but this lot will last me a log time.

Really fine, perfect to improve shell quality
We have a few old birds and they are prone to making soft eggs. We have only been using this for a week or so but I think there has been a definite improvement. This is real seashell but it has been ground much finer than the stuff we had before and the birds seem to hoover it up with their feed where the old chunky shell seemed to get left behind. Really impressed so far.
