Sea Sport Mini Whistle Fox 40

The pea- less design is reliable and shrill. The effort to blow is moderate. It’s on my swim buoy, so important that it clears water with just a blow or two.

Anyone that walks often should have one of these on a good heavy string or flexible chord hanging around your neck. I use a nylon trot line fishing chord. If a vicious dog approaches you in an aggressive way whatever size the animal is when it gets about 10 feet away blow this whistle as hard as you can and most of the time the animal will be stunned enough by the shrill sound that it will leave you alone or give you time for your next move in my case hitting the 4 legged predator with my walking stick, use the curved end for more hitting power b/c you are going to get 1 hit before you have canine teeth stuck in your legs or worse. I walk 4.6 miles per day 1300+ miles per year and have been walking now since 1997 and have been attacked more times than the fingers on both hands. I cannot tell you the dogs heads that this whistle has saved from receiving the wrath of my cane. I suggest you wrap the end of the whistle with some heavy black electrical tape to give your teeth some padding b/c when you have the likes of a pit-bull coming at you you're bitting down very hard on the whistle enough to crack a front tooth. Even 2 legged predators it confuses them just enough for you to either get the hell away or strike at the head, legs or groin, make the 1st hit count!!!!!!! I will not be terrorized walking my neighborhood's streets by any 2 or 4 legged predator and this little whistle is my 1st line of defense to an attacker!!! Once you have been attacked you'll never be w/o it and pepper spray, it really gets your attention, big-time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, btw you are 100% within the law to defend yourself against attacking dogs or humans. As a cop told me, "Sir your lucky you had that cane"!!!!! You will get criticized by other walkers and more than likely called paranoid but if you ever get attacked you'll thank God you had something to defend yourself with. One other thing after you get it attached to the string practice getting the whistle to your mouth several times when your walking b/c you are going to have just a split second to react to the attacker before you are hurt, you don't want the whistle swinging around, tie a loop in the string just above the whistle so it will stay close by your body. Folks if this happens it gets serious very, very quickly and it almost has to be second nature to you to get the whistle to your mouth then getting ready for your next strike whatever that is!!!! Have fun walking/running just stay prepaid for the worse!!!!Mike

very loud for such a small whistle.

Super loud, inexpensive, works as advertised! Comes with some useful 'whistle language' which tells you how many times for certain typs of signals.A definite must have to keep in your car just in case, and or on a camping trip etc.

An excellent pealess whistle. Bought this to train my dog, and it has worked very well. It always sounds, regardless of the weather, and offers a slightly different pitch.

Not as loud as I expected.

Blow full blast without plugging your ears and your ears will ring afterwards, it's loud. Love the color selection, got one for each of my boys on their first wilderness camping trip, in their favorite colors. We went through learning a set of signals and before we set off on the trip I let them blow away to get it out of their system and after that I had a little peace of mind in knowing that should we become separated I would hear them. I bought another emergency whistle for myself locally for more money and it's not as loud.

needed something for safety for my kids. this seemed like a great idea - and it was. VERY loud, and very cute. highly recommend.

Äkta vara i förpackning med halsrem, bra storlek, funkar även för barn, snabb leverans, återvunnen förpackning. Skickas från Storbritannien så jag fick betala 75 kr i deklarationsavgift (och sedan moms). Lite snopet eftersom jag inte tänkte på att kolla var säljaren fanns. Blir alltså ganska dyrt om du inte köper en massa visselpipor på en gång. Hittade inte denna färg hos andra och priset blev ändå lite billigare än andra leverantörer eftersom jag köpte ganska många visselpipor.
