Still using 8 of his facial exercises 10 years later- they work!!
I discovered the first printing of this book which was called "Facebuilding", in 2000 in the library. I eventually bought my own copy a year later. Now it has been reprinted I've been buying copies for friends as gifts. The exercises are easy to do and they work. Ten years on, I'm still doing my exercise routine twice a week.Being 40-ish I had been keen to start toning up my facial muscles in preparation of hitting 50. I identified problem areas and experimented with one exercise at a time, to see if I liked the results.Personally I love exercise No. 1- it gives me a wide-awake look (like Botox or a brow-lift, but a healthier version of these!)I do Nos. 1,2,6,11,12,15,19,20 whilst watching tv.After you've got satisfactory results you can then reduce exercise sessions from 5 times to 2 times per week. That is all you need in order to maintain the muscle tone you've built up.I did try other books but gave up on them, as many seemed to create more creases and lines by the weird contortions you had to screw your face into.I love this book!! Get yourself a good face cream, eye cream, Five Minute Facelift and a wee bit of self-discipline!!!

Works for me
I have done these exercises for a couple of weeks now and even though I have not followed them religiously or done them every day I can see an improvement in my face. My problem area is the neck and chin and have found these exercises have toned up that area. The good thing about this book is that it encourages you to start with only the exercises on your own problem areas and then include more of the others later on if you wish. You don't even need to do them all if you don't want to. If you do only some of the exercises in this book any time you think to do them during your week it can only help your face in the long run.

Useful additon to my routine....
Found quite a few different exercises in this book to add to my usual routine. There are some I've not seen before and they initially seem a little difficult but are actually easier in practice than you think they'd be when reading the how to do part. Some of the instructions seem a bit breif, but the exercises overall are very good. Obviously as I've only been using a routine I've compiled from the book for about 3 or 4 weeks I can't say if anything's happened yet, (but you can feel you've "worked" your muscles when you've done an exercise), so I will re-review the book in about 4 months (if I remember)!

Face-Lift
I am glad I bought this book, Its has been doing a really good job, I have been practicing all most every night before i go to bed. have seen a lot of difference. I think you have to make this a routine to get the result you want. so yes, I do strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering buying this book.

Pretty Lame
Ordered this for a friend as I have Carole Di Maggio Facercise book which is very good anddoes work in improving facial tone and making look more youthful, but this was nothing incomparison, hardly any explanations (or background on the author's credentials), just photographsof a young beautiful model making faces, wish I had bought the Carole Di maggio book instead.Tried some of the exercises for several days, but did'nt feel anything much (unlike Carole's book)I'm sure it would be better than not doing anything, but would rather go with the experts.

Not good...
The book seems pretty useless considering the model used doesn't seem to open her mouth or stretch and flex her facial muscles at all?? I've been doing one exercise for two weeks that i found on the internet, which involved making an 'O' shape with the mouth and opening it widely, so you could feel the muscles at the side of your outer cheekbones and this really works and has lifted my face. However, there are no exercises in this book that seem to give me the feeling that i am working my facial muscles?? They seem pretty useless. I will go to youtube and find some videos!

love it
It is excellent book with very simple and easy to follow instructions. I already see the difference in the firmness of my face, after very short period of time of use. I would recommend it to everyone who is after young looking face without the scalpel. I can only imagine that continue of those excises will improve the way I look.

perfect book with perfect photos
I bought it as a present for my sister- in- low. She is very happy with the quality of the paper and the photos. The book has 21 exercises for facial lifting with minimum explanations and with the perfect pictures. I think that this book is a very good present for a woman of any age.

Holy Schnikes! It's Actually Working!
2-Week Review:My background is that I'm in my mid-30s and had always appeared younger in the face than my real age--UNTIL the last 6 months to a year. All of a sudden my facial skin has started sagging and I've started getting lines around my mouth/cheeks that make me look suddenly older than my age and very tired all the time. Plus my mouth lines were starting to get down-turned. Yuck! So, after being talked out of a $2,000 cosmetic procedure I can't afford, and after trying all sorts of expensive "age-defying" creams and lotions over the past couple years, I decided to give this book a try.First, I'll say that the book is really nicely laid out and perfect. To the reviewers who complain about inadequate content--nonsense! Bah! Everything you need is in here: Diagrams of targeted muscles, specific instructions, photos of the exercise in action, etc. This isn't meant to be a novel or essay on facial care. Instructions are clear and help you scale up your routine as you get more experienced. Now, about the results! I'm only a couple weeks in, so I definitely have not been expecting miracles. But, I HAVE noticed a difference already! I even took a "before" picture as a point of comparison, and I have to say that the change is marked. Even my husband has commented (with insulting surprise) that he can see the difference. My cheeks are a bit less saggy and some of the lines around my mouth have already begun to vanish. My mouth doesn't seem as down-turned when resting. And my skin actually does look younger! I'm impressed! Why didn't I start this months ago??Considering this was the only change to my skin-care/facial routine, I credit this book already with making a big difference! I'm really excited to see if the improvements continue through the coming months, and I'm already recommending this book to others.

Simple to understand
Much easier than the other writers version to understand both why and how. Simple explanations are accompanied by clear pictures and the muscle groups impacted are clearly identified in a drawing so it all comes together in an understandable and meaningful way. Even my husband has tried it and that says something. It only works if you are committed though - reading it alone doesnt make a difference!

It really works
I would enthusiastically recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their face without the time, expense & pain of cosmetic surgery. This program is easy and IT WORKS! Here's my story: As always when buying a product that promises small miracles, I was skeptical. I'm 62 & will NOT get a face lift. If it didn't work the book only cost a few bucks, so I decided to give it a try. The book said you can work on just one problem area of your face. So I started slow - only doing the 4 exercises every day for "double chin" (I call it "turkey neck") - not my whole face. The exercises are very easy to do - I can do them while I'm driving, watching TV, etc, & I've been at it for almost a month. After a couple of weeks I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror & thought "Well, I'm just wishful thinking & LOOKING for improvement". But a few days ago my close friend, who did NOT know I'm doing the exercises asked if I had lost weight or something & thought I looked much better... somehow. I asked her HOW do I look better, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. When I told her about the exercises she said "That's it!" Then she said that my double chin was not nearly as pronounced as before AND my skin was much clearer. I almost always have a few blemishes - ususally on the right side of my face. But they have been clearing up since starting the program. Doing the exercises improves skin tone because of the increased circulation to your face. I'm very, VERY happy with this program & have started doing more of the exercises for other parts of my face.
