Even better than the first.
I enjoyed reading "The Firefox of Anyea" so I was looking forward to this second installment. The first book was full on chapter after chapter with the constant introduction of new characters and new magical concepts. Sometimes I found myself having to skip back and refresh my memory on who and what certain characters and concepts were. This isn't a big criticism of book one just a comment on the scale of the world the author has created. The Cry of Spire Crows continues Tabitha's journey with her band of acquired unlikely "Friends" and of course with her Firefox Roshuna. After reading book 1 the world of Anyea and the magical concepts are further enhanced but what really shines through in this book is the story. Without giving away to many spoilers this book really builds Tabitha's character, her relationship with friends old and new and what is going to be expected of her in the next installments.I found this book very hard to put down, it's one of those books where you think "Just one more chapter"This series is a must read for any reader who enjoys a good Fantasy novelLee
