Very bright
We recently had a lot of electric repairs. I used these light for my bedroom and bathroom! I can see everything now!! Because they are bigger than my other lights the electrician had to cut the hole bigger. They are very affordable and looked easy to install. They are very sleek and work very well in both spaces. I can see these lights lasting for a long time.

It will dim, just not on the first light on.
TLDR: It works perfect for dimming after 1 hour of connection. Not on the first try.I connected this light with TP-Link Tapo dimmer Switch, which is Triac dimming compatible. When first turn on, the light made and buzzing sound that goes away after 1 second. No dimming. I adjust the dimmer switch up and down, but no dimming. I turn it on and off a few times, still no dimming, and has the buzzing sound. I returned 1 hour later, and found the light to be working perfectly. Maybe the switch changed dimming protocol or something.The light is very bright for my small bathroom. I only set it to full brightness from 6PM to 9:30PM. The rest of the time, I set it to only 50% brightness. I am so glad I paired it with a smart dimmer.

Overall great light
Great light, easy installation. I've used them a couple times for home renovations. Only issue I'd say is the template for cutting the hole is about the same diameter as the light, so you have to be quite precise in your cuts otherwise you risk the hole showing on the edge of the light. Trace the template and cut inside the line to be safe. Not worth knocking a star off, but just use caution when cutting the hole.Overall great light, several color selections. will definitely use again.

Make sure you buy some spares!!!
I purchased two of these 4 years ago. One of them started to flicker so I figured I'd just buy two more so I could replace the one that was dying and to have a spare. This latest set is larger. The old ones were 8 inches these new ones are almost 9 inches. The model numbers are almost the same between the two, both claim to be 8" and I ordered the new ones by clicking on the item I ordered the last time. These two will be going back, and I'm not searching for some that are closer to the old size so that I don't need to cut the holes larger. Apart from that these are great lights, as long as you aren't trying to match the model that they sold previously...

Template does not include any margin
Very nice light with good color and no popping noise or delay. A bit too bright for my use without a dimmer switch. As others have noted, the template provides no margin and I don't think the hole needs to be quite that large. I cut all the way out to the edge of it, thinking if it wasn't large enough, I might not be able to get the light to seat fully or get it back out to rework the opening. Despite cutting very carefully, I ended up with gaps. So, consider that template circle an absolute keep out zone and give yourself a little margin. You can easily remove the light to trim the hole opening further.

Great item for price
The light was very easy to install. Using a multi-tool to cut thr hole for installation was the longest part of the job. Wiring was very simple and the spring loaded clips are strong and hole the light in perfectly.
