Steenbergs Organic Harissa With Rose Spice Blend Standard - 43g

I ordered this as it was an ingredient required for Orlando Bloom's Lamb Shank tagine, I had Harissa, but never Rose Harissa. After reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews of this product I went ahead with this totally new (for me) spice and also with a recipe I have never attempted before... It went down wonderfully!The three jars are super cute, and although it seems like a small amount for the price, the heat certainly packs a punch and the aroma is simply mouth watering. You will not need to use a lot of this spice in your cooking. The Rose petals are lovely and everything about this spice blend screams fresh and well sourced, with a vibrant colour to boot.And yes, if you're wondering, my lamb tagine was delicious!

Not an easy spice to track down - particularly if you live in a small village - so it was a godsend to find it available on Amazon. A lovely quality and well flavoured spice, perfect for one of my favourite recipes "Sticky Aubergines". I went for the 'three pot' option to amortise the delivery costs in the absolute knowledge that I will use them all.

use it alot expenciive but good for food flavour

After receiving disappointing coriander seeds from this brand (tiny from Lithuania as opposed to normal size from India advertised on Amazon) i was a bit apprehensive. I need not be. Absolutely gorgeous product, fragrant, beautifully blended, great colour and quality. I loved it.

Rose Harrissa was recommended by someone I know. I expected a a paste, anyway. I mixed the powder in some oil, fried some chicken, added my paste, then vegetables, served with some quinoa - first time I've tried that too.This product is simply outstanding, beautiful taste, spicy, hot, leaves a lovely flavour in the mouth, top notch, fantastic product.

I had never heard of Harissa but bought it on a whim after locating the same brand of tamarind paste. I am glad I did because it makes EXCELLENT seasoning for chilli. The spice is somehow so strong, only a tiny amount was needed to season a whole pot of beans, so I think one jar will last a very long time. The jars are so cute that the others will make very nice presents for friends.

Brilliant powerful, rich fragrance. I bought this for the recommended harissa pepper recipe and this does not let down. Packs a punch and the rose adds a lovely depth.

More than happy with this item
