It fits right into the bedroom window. The thermostat m is to set the preferred temperature and the fan will come on automatically when the temperature rises. The three separate fans allow us to set the amount of air coming into the room. Great for sleeping. Highly recommended.

A little tricky to get in vertically, but once installed, the moves a lot of air. Helped cool my house down a lot.

I bought this fan because it has a fan blade design which are used in quiet fans. It is very quiet, and makes a low tone when running, versus the whine of other window fans. It's low profile allows you to see out of your window more instead of blocking the view, perfect for spring and summer. Since it is small and light, it is easy to insert and remove from the window, something that's hard to do with a bulky fan.Notes: It is billed as a whole-house fan, but it doesn't move that quantity of air, if it did it would have to be noisy. It should be marketed instead on it's best points, quietness and low-profile. One of my new outlets seemed not to want to connect to the plug, so it looked like it was plugged in but no power was received. I blame this on my outlet rather than the fan, as it works in my other outlets. It comes with a sturdy side extension built-in, and two extra extensions to add on the other side. One extension is hidden in the foam packaging, so look for it before you throw the foam away. Each side has a rubber seal that can be inserted and removed on the extensions, so you can put it wherever it needs to go. Overall this is a high-quality fan and I'll get more for my other rooms. I'm quite impressed with this one.

Having had one of these fans installed and running for a couple weeks now, I quite enjoy it.Pros- Moves a surprising amount of air. I have it installed in a window blowing outwards with another window cracked on the other side of the house and you can feel the draft.- Surprisingly quiet, even with all 3 fans running.Cons- The extra baffles dont lock in, so installing the unit can be a bit of a hassle for one person.- Cord placement. The power cord is in the middle of the main unit, and doesnt have any clips to tuck it out of the way to one side or the other.
