Very helpful for sleep apnoea
The company that makes SleepGuard has to be very careful about what it claims this device can do about sleep apnoea for legal reasons. But I don't need to worry about that. For me this product has reduced the unpleasant effects of sleep apnoea by about 50%. This has had a huge impact on my well-being.My advice to new sufferers of this condition is not to waste your money (about £350) by going to a specialist to have one made to measure. They are so uncomfortable that you won't be able to sleep. So you will have both insomnia and sleep apnoea. Hell! And I really wouldn't recommend forking out on one of those noisy, horrible machines with the scary mask. It will frighten the children...and the dog!And once again they are so uncomfortable that you won't get to sleep.SleepGuard is not perfect, but it is definitely the best thing on the market to help sleep apnoea. Try it, you've got nothing to lose.

Good quality.
Sadly this did not work for me at all. If you think you might have severe or moderate sleep apnea (I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea after I bought this), I would not purchase this - see your doctor instead. If you just snore and want to reduce this, this might well be a viable option. The mouthpiece itself is well constructed and the instructions are very clear. Moulding the mouthpiece to your own mouth is easy, quick and straightforward .The product has a quality feel about it and although it didn't do much for me, it might for others.

Darth Vader, didn't work with me. Yet!
My mrs and little girl both tell me my snoring is a real issue, me personally, never heard it.So after loads of grief I tried spray - rubbish, tried the pillows - rubbish. So ordered this. Yes it moulds great to my mouth and doesn't hurt but that little hole to breathe through makes me sound like Darth Vader and I have real trouble sleeping while being suffocated by this. Yeah I have a blocked nose alot of the time so put this on at night. Lay there pretending not to be suffocating and wait for my Mrs to go sleep then take it out. Gonna try those nostril enlargers with this and see if it works.

I bought this about 14 months ago and still use it sometimes, have remoulded it a few times. It helps get the right effect if you shove your lower jaw forwards when moulding it to shape. I rinse it after wearing and then leave it soaking in antibacterial mouthwash in its case, and it still looks fine.It has definitely helped with the snoring and helped both me (the snorer) and my husband to sleep better. After 3 months I forgot to wear it one night and didn't snore anyway, so left it out for several months and only started wearing it again when he complained I had started snoring again. It is usually comfortable once in, the only difficult parts originally were getting it in and out - teeth can hurt and be tender for a while in the mornings. The downside is that my 'bite' changes after a few days/weeks wearing it so chewing food is not as easy. This settles again after a few weeks of not wearing it. Without this problem, I would happily have given it 5 stars.

The sleep guard is without a doubt the best anti snoring method I have used and come across so far after using nasal sprays, lozenges, nasal strips, mouth strips, mouth washes and of course the relationship classic, being beaten by your partner throughout the night every time you snore. This device meant restful nights for us both, until recently where I've found that it has been falling out in the night, then when doing the recommended reshaping it has now lost all shape from too much grinding and other damage throughout the sleep cycle. Other than that one issue the device is amazing and I'm currently rebuying as it is definitely better than getting beaten throughout the night!

Does take some getting used to but worth sticking with it
I've put on quite a bit of weight in the last few years and started snoring, and not quietly either according to my partner. I've gotten sick of being poked and prodded in the middle of the night to stop me snoring so started looking for something that might work. I tried breathe right nasal strips which did improve it slightly but not enough to stop the poking. There were lots of positive reviews for this product and it wasn't too expensive (although I admit not cheap either) so I thought I would give it a go.Let's be clear, it does take some getting used to, i think it took at least a week to get to the point where I could wear it all night, and I had to remold it quite early on, either because I didn't get it right the first time or because it loosens up in the first few days...Anyway, after the wearing in period it has been brilliant. No more poking and prodding and divorce seems a lot less likely. As others have suggested there is some drooling, but that too improves...Although it wasn't cheap, if you compare it with the ongoing costs of sprays and nasal strips, it quickly pays for itself. I highly recommend giving it a go.

I think this works!
Wasn't sure if this was going to be successful. Had tried other remedies sprays, nasal tubes etc without joy. I was starting to dread bedtime, as I flelt so awful that I was keeping my husband awake. I had no idea that I was snoring, this never used to be a problem for me and whether he is exaggerating or not he says it was really loud! I've been using this a week now and while he says that it has not cut out the snoring altogether, he says it is no longer as loud as it used to be. So he gets a good night sleep and so do I without him kicking me to stop me snoring! Fitting was pretty straight forward and on the whole it is comfortable enough. It is making my teeth hurt - biting into food is a little tender, but I am hoping this will settle as I get used to using the guard. I do sometime wake in the night wanting to take it out, but manage to talk myslef out of it. Was worried that being forced to breathe through the nose would be a problem, but breathing does not seem constricted because of this device. Overall very satisfied! Excellent value for money!
