This product did not work for me.
I have bought one M.2 128GB and connected to this but it was not working. Checked so late, so could not return it as well.

converts an old m.2 ide rive to an external USB drive
Works well. Easy ti install anM.2 IDE drive for use as an external USB drive. No tools needed. Instead of using a screw to secure the IDS SSD, a small rubber pug is used It works but not quite as secure as a screw would be. I found the SSD would beome loose. Since no tools are needed, it is easy to reseat the drive back in the enclosue.

Cheap enclosure to repurpose an old drive
It works fine using an older 256gb micron SATA recovered from a broken laptop. The thermal pad doesn't seem to make contact with the aluminum shell so not sure what the point of that is. Tool-less Installation is good. All in all, a good way to use an older drive. Keep in mind it is not compatible with newer NVMe drives.

Simple and easy to use
I bought this as I needed to take the data off my old M.2 after upgrading to a bigger capacity. Great value for money and easy to use. The m.2 fits perfectly and the quality of the product is good. The transfer rate seems pretty fast so there's no compromise there.The only advice I would give you is don't force open the case, it took me a couple of minutes to realise that you need to slide off the end first before you can remove the cover.
