ESV Illuminated Bible, Art Journaling Edition

Guests have commented on how beautiful my new illustrated Bible is.The full page illustrations are very unique and like vintage lettering.I leave it out on the Coffee table to encourage myself to turn off the TV and read it more! I got the gorgeous Green one.

This is an absolutely beautiful Bible. Would make a nice gift. Good for notes and journaling, but does not have any references or index, just a basic table of contents at the beginning. More like an antique Bible. Illuminating is a contemporary spin on vintage, which would appeal to young people as well as older. Great price for the quality. Pages are typical, thin pages, but seem to be nice quality paper. I would recommend being careful with the type of pens used to write in it. Very pleased.

So this is definitely a beautiful bible on better than normal quality paper. Large and easy to read, lovely illuminations and space to add your own notes and illustrations.My biggest complaint - and it is possible I got a poorly done one - is the ribbon marker. The marker had been placed inside of the bible pages twisted - so it had creases and folds in the marker which made it not just a thin page marker. It permanently dented and wrinkled the pages around where it had been placed. The marker itself would not flatten out. Rather than risk possibly damaging the bible in an attempt to dampen and iron out the marker flat, I just cut it off. I use Avery tabs to mark my bibles so a ribbon marker is actually just a nuisance anyway.

The craftsmanship and thoughtfulness that went into this Bible cannot be overstated. It is laid out beautifully with great artwork for quotes and book markers (as you can see in other reviewer's photos). There is ample room for taking notes, and the pages are very high quality. The pages are not delicate and see-through like many other Bibles; they feel sturdy and high-quality and I'm not constantly in fear of ripping pages.I've attached two photographs of both sides of a single page. As you can see, I've used several colors of highlighter with absolutely no bleed-through. Even my bright colors like pink and orange are safe to use. I've used several varieties of pen for taking notes and I'll say this - stick to ballpoint or gel. Roller-ball like Pilot Precise V5 or other liquid-ink pens have bled-through for me. With ballpoint or gel and that thicker ink, copious notes are doable with minimal ghosting.

Great, simple bible. The pictures are beautiful, the text is great (along the whole page, not split into two columns like is common among bibles), and the pages are a hair thicker than normal bibles as well. As a simple reading bible it goes great and is good for notes and the like. My only (minor) complaint is that when passages are quoted (such as Jesus quoting Psalms) there is no cross reference to be able to go back to the original passage of scripture, but that is minor and does not stop me from using it daily and suggesting it to others.

I already had other Bibles but when I saw this Bible I found it to be a work of art. I wanted to support the people who were a part of this project so I bought it. This is a very good price for such a beautiful book. I think I will stick with the King James for study but I do like this Bible because of the format and I really like how so many important verses are enhanced by enlarging them and placing them on the side of the page in gold writing. Some of these verses even have their own page. I recommend it for everyone. God Bless.

Loved that this was ESV, and a bit larger than most Bibles I researched. The artwork was indeed beautiful, but the pages weren’t nice. They felt very thin, and they clumped together. I know that could probably be fixed by turning each page individually. I wanted space to write on the margins and it had that, but the artwork really took over. If you’re looking for a study Bible, this may not be it, but it is beautiful!

Me encantó la calidad de esta biblia, es hermosa. Las hojas son como las de una biblia normal, la letra es como la de un libro de tamaño de 9 puntos, sería genial si fuero poco más grande como un 10 o 11, pero aún así se puede leer claramente. A pesar de ser la versión más barata de estás biblias illuminated, es genial. El único detalle que tengo es con la entrega, ya que solo venía envuelta en una bolsa y parece que se dañó de una esquina en el trayecto. Pediría a Amazon que sean más cuidadosos con las entregas de estos productos, ya que aunque no son frágiles, si se dañan. Puse una foto acerca de este inconveniente. Por lo demás, me encantó.

I bought the bible just a couple weeks before the pandemic starts and it has been my favorite book since then. It is wonderful to read the Word of God in such a delicate and sensitive work. It has arrived very well without any transport issues.

A beautiful copy of the bible to treasure makes reading scripture so much more when the book is also really special like this one
