I bought this with the intention of using it on holiday in France. The kit seems to work fine BUT the Smarty card is a complete and utter waste of time and money. Setting it up was easy but then I found that it was not set up to roam - a very basic requirement! The help from Smarty by email was, shall we say, less than helpful. If you buy this router please consign the card to its rightful place in the bin and get an Orange Holiday card instead. You might then have the basis of working kit...

The WiFi device is fine. Have used it in various countries with different SIMs.Sadly bought the option with smarty, which was a waste. Skim read the description which said that the device could be used in various countries around the world and then that the smarty SIM would give unlimited data on the go.Thought you could use smarty round the world at a flat fee. You can't.It is exorbitant in some countries.Far better to buy the device, skip smarty, and buy a local data SIM wherever you go.They are available in most airports.

I travel all over the country in my job, hotel internet connections are very expensive,,, and sometimes insecure,, so I bought this so that I can have the internet wherever I go.The only problem I had was connecting my EE data sim to the device, but this was not the devices fault it was the EE website being hard to navigate, it shows expensive packages that only last for 30days, but hides the basic pay as you go plans which gives you 3 months to use up your data, so beware of this if you choose EE.I have never been lower than 9mbps and it normally sits around 25mbps which is more than enough for anyones needs.All in all a very good mobile router, battery lasts me for over 8 hours, it charges up fully in around an hour.When you are finished using it, make sure that you fully turn it off as it can continue to use up your data.I hope this helps someone.Yours Ray

We needed something to tide us over as we wait for broadband to be set up in our new house and we are pleased with this product.The device was easy to set up with the exception of one detail: the EE sim card that is bundled with it requires registration and one of the fields is 'EE 4G number'. This isn't apparent anywhere on the packaging or instructions but it appears on the web page before you click on register. So you have to spot this and note it down before you proceed.The mobile wi-fi speed is acceptable (not equivalent to wired broadband but that's not a fair comparison) and the range is good enough to reach the corners of a medium sized house.Overall I think this is a good, cost effective solution. I'm thinking we may take it on holiday as a way to keep up with emails on the go.

Excellent wee home hub. Came with Smarty SIM which I'd wanted anyway due to their cheap prices. Works well all over the house whether it's in the same room as me or on a different floor. Usually have PC and mobile on it during day and tablet or laptop and Netflix at night. Seems to cope well with a few devices. Not taken it out the house yet so can't comment on how it is travelling. Can only imagine it's reliable as it is in the house.

Provides WiFi for up to 10 devices including my PS4.I was worried that the signal and speed would be poor quality as I'm in a village. Needn't have worried, it works really well. I've downloaded a 8GB PS4 patch whilst watching iPlayer. Sure, it isn't fibre but when my show was done I played my game.Also works when you unplug it and rely on the battery. I use it in my car for Waze, music, and podcasts.I use smarty for unlimited 1month access. Very happy!

Proper bit of kit. Perfect permanent internet connection for an Alexa-Input which I have connected to my car's AUX port. How very pleasing!!! Very simple way of getting 000s of stations and millions of music tracks plus of course all the other associated Alexa goodies right there in my car! Turn the lights on in my office from my car! Excellent!!! Oh dear I am a self confessed Alexa nutcase. Even just her indoors an Alexa connect robot vacuum cleaner! ha ha!

I like this. It has worked well for Internet, email, streaming etc. The signal is excellent and it’s a great portable size.
