PROS:SOUND: This speaker sounds absolutely amazing! Having 2x tweeters built-in brings a lot of sparkle and definition to the top end. The sound is clear at any volume. The bass response is very punchy and doesn't muddy other frequencies. I am enjoying the sound out this speaker very much indeed!BUILD: The build is solid! Very solid. This is a speaker that will survive the roughest of environments.BATTERY: Battery life is solid, easily taking me through a whole day of non stop listening.WIFI: A little spoken feature is that this speaker is a Wifi speaker as well! This enables music to be played through the speaker whilst freeing the phone for calls and other things. Also, the sound quality over WiFi is improved as the bandwidth is larger, especially with HD music.LOOKS and FEEL: This is a subjective matter but this speaker looks and feels great to touch. Being an upright cylinder it has a very small footprint and looks awesome an ornament.CONS:ALEXA: Alexa feature is poor. It kind of works but I have it turned off.CHARGING: Separate charging dock is expensive and the USB micro charging cable is proprietary.CONTROLS: Only volume controls on the speaker is silly.CONCLUSION:This is a mighty impressive speaker that will satisfy anyone seeking a very good sound unit that can fill up a room with ease. I spend hours listening to music on it and the detail and humph never cease to impress me. It's loud too!

Love the sound. Compared it side by side in a shop with competitors. LG ThinQ has a similar quality sound. It even beat some more expensive portable speakers from Bose. Megablast sounds quite god - enough detail to hear the vocals and punch to feel the bass. It's not as deep and doesn't cover the entire frequency range as a proper hifi system, but it does sound a lot better than cheap radios and not far off from low to mid end sound systems. And it's portable!Loved the price. Got it at a discount, so was the best portable sound. At full price - still great but may need to think more about its competitors.Love that I can carry it from room to room and output from phone or laptop.Pleased that the battery can last days with my moderate usage.Don't care for Alexa.Not impressed that you can't charge it and keep it standing.Bothered that sometimes it confuses which device to connect to when you have more than one paired.Hate that it does not have a 3.5 jack and I can't connect it to analog gadgets. It's cheaper brother has it but the sound wasn't as good when I listened to both side by side.Hate that the WiFi connectivity is only for Alexa.Buy.

Really good speaker if you plan to play your music loud and want good base.The Alexa connectivity is also a great feature when on WiFi as you can play music/radio with a simple request.I can be hit and miss with the voice commands though which can be frustrating. I don't like having to use the Alexa app to control the content though. This is more of an Alexa issue. Just not as good as Google home which unfortunately this speaker doesn't support. I have also been unable to pair to my Google home mini through blootooth which should be able to do.At certain volumes the speaker can be jumpy between volume levels, would have preferred more control but this is only a minor.ProsGreat soundGreat option to play though alexaAmazing battery lifeConsAlexa content controls through app are poorNo Google connectivityYou can't cast content directly from other apps. Built like a tank!Great battery life.Very Good sound quality; although if you want more bass you need to position it in the corner of your space.The best part is the combination of the above with Amazon Alexa! You just tell Alexa to play some music of your liking and voila, it just happens.If you can afford to get the charging base for this speaker, you’ll always have a charged up battery if you decide to go portable. The plus point of the charging base is that it gets rid of the need to plug a charging lead into the bottom of the unit every time it needs topping up.Use case reviews: Great for BBQs, use in open spaces like parks or on the beach, great if you’re going to the skate park or the basketball/tennis/volleyball court. If you’re going somewhere in a car, it’s easy to take.What I found out is that this unit is a touch too large and heavy to take abroad to a beach / poolside holiday with you. The speaker one size smaller than this would be a better choice for plane journeys.

Not as big as I was expecting, which was a bonus . Great bit of kit with a solid, heavy feel . Crystal clear sounds are better than I hoped for . Good solid bass. Once set up through the Ultimate Ears App , & Alexa , on turning unit on, it's connected to your phone every time without having to go to SETTINGS . Alexa works well as long as you are close to the speaker , or turn it down a bit , as microphones must be inside rather than a few wee holes on top. I presume this is to help waterproofness. Not as responsive from the shower as a proper ECHO on a portable battery unit , which will still respond to commands. Doesn't go quite as loud at work as I would like, but at home, its plenty loud enough. The nice cheap hard case i bought with it is perfect for carrying it around & it looks pretty tough anyway. All in all a very good buy . I bought USED/LIKE NEW , & it was minted. Roll on the Summer for some Sun , Song & a beer.

If you care about using Alexa in South America, it doesn't seem to work, at least not by default.I'll spend some time later to see if at least it can be used with Spotify.

Top Lautsprecher. Ich hatte bereits eine und wollte mit der zweiten in Stereo hören. Zuerst wurde die Megaboom geliefert, die aber problemlos und sofort getauscht wurde.Für zu Hause und auf der Terrasse einfach genial. Zum mitnehmen finde ich die schon recht groß aber dafür habe ich die kleine Boom.Der Vorteil von 2 Lautsprechern ist eindeutig das es nicht so laut sein muss um etwas weiter weg noch vernünftig was zu hören.Danke für den problemlosen Umtausch an Oenker.

Trotz der mitunter gemischten Rezensionen zur Soundqualität oder der Bedienung bin ich mit meinem Kauf aus September voll zufrieden. Dies ist aber vermutlich auch dem ein oder anderen Softwareupdate geschuldet, denn:- es gibt eine Equalizer-Funktion (die sich ab und an mal resettet, wenn man lange nicht per Bluetooth und nur über WLAN verbunden ist)- es gibt die Batterieansage bei Drücken der +- Taste- Pairing mit (Mega)Blast ist möglichWas möchte ich also mehr? Ganz einfach die kleine Kunststoffladestation, für die ich nicht bereit bin 30 Euro zu zahlen. Dass dabei kein zweites Netzteil dabei ist, finde ich vollkommen in Ordnung, denn man hat ja eins beim Lautsprecher dazu bekommen, aber dann sehe ich auch die 30 € nicht.Zum Laden ist das deutlich komfortabler, da die Box dann nicht seitlich liegen muss, weil das Kabel von unten eingesteckt ist.Lautstärke geht sehr hoch, verzerrt auch bis dreiviertel so gut wie nicht und klangtechnisch ist alles im Rahmen der Größe und Abdichtung in meinen Augen sehr gut. Könnte ein bisschen mehr Bass vertragen, aber es ist eben auch eine portable Box. Wenn ich Klang haben möchte, greife ich zur Stereo-Anlage. Ausschlaggebend war für mich die WLAN Funktion und die Möglichkeit Alexa per Knopf (hoffentlich) Abschalten zu können. Die Box macht einen wuchtigen, gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Wasserdichtigkeit habe ich wohl nicht getestet. Der Akku hält sehr angenehm lang.Verpackung und Ladezubehör finde ich sehr wertig.Für die UVP hätte ich es wohl im Regal stehen lassen, aber bei welchen Produkten zahlt man die auch?Bei Amazon im Angebot für 125 € mehr als gut!
