Colours help well with contrasting for pencil sketches.Comfortable to use and very durable.

These are nice pencils, but the laydown is a little inconsistent, and the varying hardness is sometimes difficult to discern.I've found more success with a General's pencil which reacts better to varying pressure, and applies a more consistent line.Having said that, if you're on a budget, these 3 pencils will do a reasonable job.

These Koh-I-Noor white pencils are truly excellent quality. The three grades are perfectly blended to give, hard, smooth and very soft, smugeable lines. The pureness of the white is exceptional, and of a very high pigment to binder ratio.The hardest grade is perfect for doing thin, highlights, on edges or curves where the tiniest if highlight is required. You can sharpen them to the tiniest of points to get a minute edge or dot, such as in an eye iris.The smoothest is perfect for blending to create a lighter edge over a small to broad area and the blend quality is comparable to even the top quality pencil manufacturers.The mid grade is useful for semi blending where you need to transition from white to another colour and graduates beautifully.They have lasted a really long time, and I have constantly used them. I will definitely be ordering them again when they run out.If your a professional artist, you may be surprised by the usefulness and high quality of these pencils, as an addition to your regular brand.As an amateur like myself, you will be thrilled with the quality and performance at such a reasonable price. Very highly recommended.

These arrived on time and we're well packaged. They are quite crumbly so getting a fine point for detail is nearly impossible. They wear down easily as a result and break when sharpening. Might be better sharpened with a knife but you'll still have the crumbly texture to deal with. Best for less fine work.

Worked really well, you get three different hardness levels to work with and I will definitely buy again! The colour is really white so will work great on black or coloured paper!

Bought these pencils for my daughter who is learning to pencil sketch. She needed white pencil to contrast the colours. These white pencils are excellent. They each have a different grade of white allowing for different contrasting, and the leads are easy to apply. I will certainly be buying another set as my daughter is using them regularly.

Great white pencils, the whites you can get with this are very vivid. Obviously just be aware they're chalk pencils so they won't blend well with regular pencils, and will also dry out pens if you draw on top of it too much.

But I suspect because these are charcoal pencils, you likely can’t get that. Still they are good quality, hold up well for sharpening, and do what they should.
