GallopTrojan 600d Standard Neck 100g Turnout Rug

Four stars is for the good quality - nothing to fault so far and has kept my pony dry in the horrendous mud and rain this spring. He is out with 6 other geldings and even I’ve seen a bite mark on his back, the rug has stayed intact.The buckles and fastenings are all good. I like ge fact that is has under back leg straps too since my pony loves rolling (teaches me to buy a bright white pony!)I took one star off simply because it sits a bit large around his neck and little rain goes in at the base of the neck if his head is up. He is a Connemara and other rugs have sat snugly there. However it isn’t a big deal since he is hardy and the spring rain isn’t too cold. So if your horses is very narrow shouldered it may sit a bit large. I bought 6ft and felt it was other wise true to size.

The rug fits well, gives room for my horse to move, and seems reasonably robust. It is ideal for the warmer weather when it is still cool at nights as it is only lightly padded and gives a bit of warmth when the wind and rain are blowing but with warm sunny spells in between.Edit - one issue with the rug is the elasticated leg straps. In normal weather, they are no problem. However, during a windy rainstorm, the wind caught under the rug and the leg strap elastic stretched enough for the rug to blow over my horse's back so when I came to bring her in, her back half was soaking wet and she was shivering with cold. Now if there is wind forecast I only put her out in other rugs which have non-stretchy leg straps.

Very good rug for the small price. My 3 year old is slightly too narrow for this rug but I feel it would fit a grown horse well. Velcro at the front has given up almost completely after only a month however the straps at the front make up for this. I especially like the elasticated leg straps. Size fits like it should and colour is as described

Item arrived before expected date which was good. It has been on the horse for 3 days - Seems to be of reasonably good quality so far. Fits horse well. Also, happy to see that so far it is water resistant. I am happy with this product so far. If it continues to measure up I would buy it again. 😁

Was expecting a cheap rug to turn up probably be cheap looking and actually was totally surprised at how lovely this rug was and such a ideal fit, the quality of this rug is unreal for the price I’m really happy with it I’ve ordered another for my other horse

Has been on my horse for a fortnight and am pleased with how it has held up it some very wet weather! was a little unhappy to find one of the back leg strap clips had broken within a couple of days but otherwise happy with purchase.

Fits my 14.2 pony absolutely lovely. Good quality and fit. Would definitely recommend. Also super fast delivery which is even better.
