I ordered the correct key for my 2007 Mazda Miata. Locksmith cut and programmed it and it worked great for all the door locks, but when the trunk button was pressed, the horn alarm would go off. We tried reprogramming several times to no avail. I ordered a better made version from him and it works perfectly now. At least I was able to return it to Amazon, but I had to pay the locksmith for his time spent.

Amazing! worked perfect and programming was a breeze...I was even able to just swap out the physical key section to the new programmed FOB and not have to worry about getting the new one cut. 2007 NC Miata MX-5

Got programmed by the dealer without issue for a Mazda 3, 2012 and works well.

Was able to program remote to lock/unlock but trunk button will not program. It sounds off the alarm.

While it looked exactly like the one it was replacing, It was not perfect. Once programmed to work with the car, both the trunk release button and the emergency button (!) sent the same signal to the car and started the horn honking. So effectively the trunk release button is no longer usable.Needless to say, I am disappointed.

This replacement key didn't perform well. After the key was cut, we learned that the chip was not compatible with our vehicle and it couldn't be replaced or reprogrammed.

This key fob was very easy to program. And it saved me $350 from having to get a key fob from the dealership.

i didn't like that you cant program fob for the doors or trunk...locksmith tried and when i emailed the company i got no response
