We use this mat in our dog's outdoor pen. It sits regularly outside in the rain, but that is totally fine. Easy to clean, just hose or rub it down with a brush. Super heavy duty materials.

I have had these beds about a month now. After extensive searching they seemed to be exactly what I was looking for and I am really pleased with them. If fact within 24 hours I needed to test one as I needed to wash off some soiling. I stuck it under the hose and washed it off. The cover did stay damp for a while as some of the water seemed to be absorbed but the foam inside was quite dry and the cover dried completely within about 10 mins leaving a hygenic fresh bed once more. They fit the crate trays very snugly which is great as there are no gaps for bits of biscuit to drop down and the dogs can't dig them about either. They are quite 'noisy' compared to normal beds but not excessive at all - just more rustly which is to be expected. The foam insert is beautifully dense and more than sufficient for a dog under 10kg - I would imagine much bigger and heavier dogs would be quite comfortable. I went to a show a couple of weeks later and looked at the alternatives including some I had considered and all had much harder covers, possibly OK if you have a large breed but for small dog comfort this material is far more sympathetic and less harsh to lay on. Some of the other covers felt like waxed tarpaulins and I woudn't fancy sleeping on it, so I was very pleased with making the desicion. The beds arrived quickly, well packed and exactly as described. The quality is very good, no loose threads or mis-stitching which has been a problem with cheaper fabric beds in the past. The zip looks nice and sturdy too so not likely to come apart after several uses - again this is something I've had before with removeable covers. The price is very competitive against similar products and is very fair for the quality of the bed. It's more than I have spend on bedding ever before but they sleep on these every night and look as if they will be in use for many years so money very well spent.Living in a rural area the dogs often come in damp from walks, even just from summer dew and go into their beds on returning to await feeding. Fabric beds were suffering and becoming unplesant, needing regular washing to keep them hygenic and the inners were deterorating. I also have a long coated breed so hair sticking into the beds was also an issue. Basically I was getting fed up with almost constant washing of beds. Also if any of the dogs were sick or spilt their water bowls the bed would need washing/drying. This meant I had to keep piles of beds on standby which take up loads of space. Not a problem now as these clean off so well that just need to take out the bed, wipe clean and it can go straight back in. The dogs seem to like them too. They would probably prefer something they could dig about but they are quite happy sleeping on these. From all round comfort and hygene perspective these are brilliant beds and I would definitly recommend. I'm going to get some more for the car crates too!

Had this for a few months now and despite frequent attacks from two of our large dogs who like to claw at surfaces before lying on them I've only recently had to sew up a couple of tares in the cover. It did well to last that long. Other than that, dogs find it comfy.

This mattress is a great little buy.The quality of it is fab, the colour is lovely, my puppy absolutely loves the comfort of it and it’s the perfect size for his crate. Paired with a nice blanket it’s lovely and warm, but equally we take the blanket off for the hot days and and our pup is happy sleeping on the cool mattress instead.Good value for money and the seller was super helpful with our enquiries.10 ⭐️. My 18 month old sheltie had gone through two good quality but softish beds. I was not concerned about the money aspect, rather the damage she could do to herself by inhaling some of the foam innards. This product has effectively stopped all that because although she's still "a digger" the cover is tough and she can't break through it. The bed is thinner than I ideally would want but I have blankets and a bathroom mat on top which makes it quite comfortable. So I can recommend this product as durable and tough!

Bought the large version for Eddie, our very large labradoodle. There is ample room for him to spread himself out and he has taken to it instantly. The bed's outer material is a thick synthetic material and seems strong and well stitched together.My only criticism is the bed is a bit thinner than I would have expected. Certainly thinner than the bed's excellent predecessor (would have bought another but 4 years later, cannot locate manufacturer). That said, we are struggling to find one of this quality but thicker so will buy a second for Millie our bitch labradoodle. She really likes her comforts and so far has resisted Eddie's bed! Be interesting to see how she takes to it when her old one disappears.

So far I love this bed and so, after initially refusing to go on it , does my dog. I think the reluctance to go on it was the difference in feel , and possibly sound, due to the waterproof cover which is very slightly crackly. However, after a day or two using it with a towel on it my dog has decided he likes it and sleeps on it all night and for naps in the day...even using it in preference to his (!) sofa at times. I have bought a fleece washable cover for it but may end up not using it as the mat looks better without it.It remains to be seen if it smells or not after much use......but so far so good.Update a month or two later...still no smell at all and dog very happy with it, both during the day and throughout the night

Good size and thick material. I used it to put old beds in when the covers gave up. Or cheaper beds where the covers aren't very good.They stop the inner bed getting stained and smelly.
