Great Little Pump
I bought this pump to replace the one that came with my fountain and quit working properly after five years. I chose it based on its specifications and reviews. It was easy to install and is working flawlessly. I can't even hear it running and the flow is exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend it.

Works quietly!
The media could not be loaded. Great pump for the price especially. Downsides are that it says that I have to remember to bring it in during a freeze and will overheat if pump runs without water. I didn’t subtract stars because at this price, you’re not getting the maverick. I had used a 15 watt initially but this 10 watt actually works better and more quietly. The last one was actually too powerful and splashed water everywhere. Now I’ve had it for 5 minutes so…

Fish pump
Fish pump, came as described; to replace another pump @210gph does not seem to pump as much water as the one it replaced that was also a 210gph. Works fine just not enough for my tank. Had to upgrad. And yes it was all the way open. Just did not seem like a lot of flow compared to what it was.

Compact enough to fit imagitarium 6.8 for marine use
The media could not be loaded. If you need higher flow for like a marine thank, this can be added to the imagitarium 6.8. It fits in the tiny compartment. Great alternative to the hyddor that is no longer produced. A bit on the high end though. Definitely over 210 gph. I’m hoping it slows down in weeks to come with all the macroalgae I got in here but yeah this is wayyyyyy better and wayyyyy cheaper than the compact alternatives if you need higher flow in a smaller footprint.

Poor Quality
Pump quit working after 45 days. Amazon only takes things back for 30 days. Lowes and Home depot pond pumps have manufacture warranties from 90 days to one year. The pump I had before ran over 10 years. WSo this unit is no deal!

This is a high quality pump if I need a pump in the future I will be rebuying this pump.

Not to bad
Pump works well for the money. The flow adjustment switch really didn’t seem to do anything to flow rate though.

The media could not be loaded. That’s a “Four Feet” Fountain but the pump is in full power mode and pushing up approximately two feet.Build quality seems fine postage was fast came with a floppy plastic tube but sufficient for what I needed.TBH I thought hood value for money as I had seen a very similar spec item in store and it was double the price I paid on Amazon. 👍
