Great product. Heavy, reliable. Likely very difficult for a thief to get through. Note, too heavy to bring on a cycle with you. But good to say, leave one at work or in a bike shed. Pricey though.

This is a heavy duty lock recommended. It is so heavy, I leave it on my home rack and take a smaller one when I go out. I feel confident my bike is safe with it.

I have recently purchased this chain & lock and as soon as i took it out of the box i felt as if i got the right one.It is heavy, solid & easy to lock, unlock. The chain looks treated and Stands out as a serious deterrent.The key has a nice bright blue light that helps in unlit areas at night.Now i thought about maybe giving 3-4 stars but i concluded that the lock itself imo is definitely worth 5 stars so i have given 5 stars.The reason why I considered 3-5 stars is because I ordered this item from koo bikes and it took so long to arrive i contemplated sending it back.It had passed the cut off delivery date. Totally unacceptable. I was very annoyed.So my advice is if you want a solid chain and lock to keep your bike safe, I recommend this one.As for ordering it from koo bikes, fahgettaboudit.

I’ve always used a Kryptonite D lock for my bike. For me they are the best on the market.Up till now, there were no Gold Standard bike chains, so when I saw this one, I had to give it a try.The only downside to this lock is that it’s extremely heavy. Having said that, I’ve found it very easy to wrap around my bike.My bike is very important to me and the reason I bought this lock in addition to the D lock is to make it as hard as possible for anyone wishing to steal it or to prevent them from doing it in the first place.I’m very happy with both locks and they have given me peace of mind.I highly recommend this bike lock if you don’t mind the weight of it.

I bought this chain from a Warehouse-Deal - good Price. I bought this since the Disc lock has the colours of the ''Fahgetaboutit'' Series suggesting the maximum security you can get plus is rated within the Kryptonite Security levels as a clear 10. Unfortunately the lock had a few niggles accepting the key and I decided to open the lock and see if I could adjust it.Surprise: this mini d-lock is in fact only a Series 4 lock, being rated by Kryptonite a 7-8.....Now the chain you can be sure is max. = it is a brute, so no questions there - Level 10. But the rule is: a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link... in this case the disc lock itself which is only a Series 4 level , 8-7! So the whole combo has to be sold as that , not ''Fahgetaboutit Level 10, only Level 8)! Looking at which of the mini d-locks of Kryptonite are really level 10 you soon will find the Kryptonite New York LIBERTY lock with a level 10. Looks same... Difference : different weight resulting from the insides not being identical. The heavier body ( ''Liberty'') is round and consists of 2 hardened steel tubes inside each other making it a real ''brute''. The Series 4 is ( or here ''New York '' - Lock ) is although sold as level 10 only a level 8 since it has only 1oval hardened steel tube - a very thick hardened steel layer - don't get me wrong, but it is in no way as chunky as the ''big brother''. The only thing they did do was put a ''Wolf's coat on a Sheep''... by adapting the colours and selling it for what it is not.It is a shame, I and my family are really happy with the 5 other Kryptonite products . I am not unhappy with this - it is just not right do sell something in this way. But I will not trust this little disc lock a main lock but only use it as 2nd or third lock - for that it is splendid. Thankfully I paid a very good price for this and really only need the chain, the lock had no priority in my case. The chain will partner with my real U=lock mini ''Fahgetaboutit'' with the 18mm shackle as main security. That is really a level 10.

The media could not be loaded. I've done my research and I've decided on this one.The company cryptonite is guarantying for it so it is another layer of trust.If someone will want your bike , they will find a way to get it, but having this one will deter most of the thieves. (I hope)

Great lock, very heavy though at almost 5kg, but attached to an e-bike you won’t notice the extra weight. The chain looks like many opportunist thieves would avoid bothering to cut it. If they try I’m sure they will be there a very long time. BUY IT 👍

Likes: Very heavy duty chain and lock. Would take a lot of time to cut through with an angle grinder and could take some time to pick lock open unless one is a pro.Dislikes: The New York Lock mechanism could be smoother and it is important to push the key in all the way in before turning or it sticks. I added a drop of Dry Teflon Lubricant to improve the smoothness. Just a reminder to NOT use thick lubricants because this will attract dust and dirt and possibly jam up your lock and you don't want to have a lock that won't open.Overall, worth the money for more piece of mind.

Best news is that I still have my ebike and I'm in an area where they get stolen often. So, the lock works! But it is a project to carry and use it. It's not particularly long so you need to be very close to whatever you're locking to, and the chain links are so big that they will not fit through most spokes, and so heavy that you need to take care not to lock to a part of your bike that might be damaged by supporting the lock's weight. For me, it's all worth it, but it is honestly not an easy lock to operate.

Es una cadena que impresiona por lo robusta, sólida y segura que es.Simplemente de verla, inhibirá a cualquier ratero de llevarse la bicicleta. Los eslabones son exageradamente gruesos y seguros.Es importante considerar que la misma solidez de la cadena provoca que sea muy pesada. No resulta idónea para transportarse mientras se pedalea, son casi 10kg de peso extra.
