I bought a wheel for a wheelbarrow a few years ago, not a steering wheel, but this purchase will be great for a display. More characters??? I can not believe how nice this thing is. It showed up fast, looks fantastic and seems to be made well.I'm using it to put a steering wheel on a canoe that's been converted to a sailboat. I should have no problems and will definitely give a pirate ship vibe. Super stoked about this buy.

Very well made. Mine didn't come with anything to hang it with so I was confused and thought that's just how it came. But reading comments and seeing pics/videos I see it was suppose too.

This is ideal for our decor. Great size. We got 30". You do have to screw in the handles. Fortunately we had a hanger to add to it to be able to put out on the wall.

The spindle ends for each spoke of the ships wheel were stained the wrong color and obviously made by a different source. The threads were not cut very precisely and therefore it was somewhat difficult to assemble. The brass center could have a square key whole cut into it to make it look more real. The ships wheel was "OK" --We decided to make it look more authentic by antiquing it.

No hook was installed to hang on wall. Hook was separate and I have to install it myself and when I did the wheel broke and I waste all my money.

While traveling out east, I saw one of these in a gift shop, promptly falling in want with it. Priced over $100, it seemed steep, but then I checked Amazon and realized for much less money, it didn’t need to become a member of our road trip.For an object that is ornamental, this ship wheel is built very solidly. Heavy wood and brass. It was shipped with the handles disconnected - so it requires minimal assembly to get on the wall. Mounting hardware was included. I found myself wondering - with 5 spokes, what is the correct orientation - spokes pointed at 6 and 12 o’clock, or at 9 and 3? Some mysteries are better left unsolved.In any event, I now have a nice object on the wall that is a pleasant reminder of our road trip, and that there is more than one way to buy, and hang a wheel.

Much better than I expected, infact it's fantastic.Only thing to note is that this item comes from Europe, and you must respond to the DHL messages that you receive so it clears customs, otherwise it get returned to the supplier.But, that only takes a couple of minutes, and it's certainly worthwhile because this ships whe is of the highest quality.I got the 24" size
