Really expensive

Did you smash your wrist against the corner of the wall like I did when playing Blade and Sorcery? Do you fear breaking your controllers against a picture frame? Without a doubt, the ProxiMat VR Space Traveler will serve you well!I'll keep this review short and sweet: this product does exactly what it claims to do, and it's wonderful. Like any VR accessory, it takes a little time getting used to it, but with this particular accessory, you get used to it pretty much right away.It's very helpful not only when you're flailing about your arms wielding axes and hammers, but when peaking around corners with your rifle in hand, if you're more interested in mil-sims and the likes.When I purchased this, I couldn't find a review stating whether these mats stay in place on carpet. I play in a smaller room that's carpeted (not very thick carpet), and can verify that the grip stickers that come with the mat work very well in holding the mat in place on carpet. I haven't had any issues with the mat drifting!If you're an avid VR player and don't have the largest space to play in (my space is just over six feet), this is a must-have to give you the piece of mind that you won't break your arm OR your controller. Give it a whirl!UPDATE (February, 2021): I still maintain, after seven months, that this is the best VR accessory I've purchased--and the pad continues to stay in place on my carpet. I highly recommend you get this mat if you have a smaller play space!

The price seemed high to me at first for a mat but I went ahead and bought it and man am I happy I did. The quality is on point and you can tell that it is made to last. Also things that surprised me, first it’s think and give you a nice cushion surface to stand on. Second it came with a strap to roll it up and a carrying case. I’m very happy with this product!

I recently got an Oculus Quest 2 and needed something to help with my orientation while playing VR games in my small living room. This mat works really well in my small apartment. You get a carrying case and some stickers and some velcro pads for hard tile or wood floors. I recommend using this mat while wearing some socks, the mat tends to stick to bare feet and I think shoes would probably tear the mat up after a bit. The orientation dots are easy to identify with your feet, making it super easy to know where your front facing side is without having to constantly take off the VR headset.

Cost more than it should. But it does work better that just using a regular mat in vr. I use stationary boundary with this. Since I don’t have much space this works perfect so I know which way I’m standing without taking off headset. Comfortable on feet too.

The mat does not stay in place, particularly on carpet. I find I need to keep moving the mat back to the center of the space which kind of defeats the purpose. I would return it if I could, but just beyond the 30 days there is no option to return it in Amazon.
