Great Value Company GVC Hot and Cold Duo Fan Heater with 2 Heat Settings

Used this under my computer desk to warm my tootsies. It's a great size and the heat it kicks out is quite impressive. Can easily heat a small room. It's quiet enough to have on next to you whilst watching the tv. Be aware though it has no cut off if you knock it over. The thermostat works great as well so it'll cut out automatically when the room gets to the right temperature. If your energy bill isn't an issue I'd highly recommend it. It was especially good on our camping holiday and would do great in a caravan or shed. Having said that. At 2kw per hour my smart meter says this costs 39p an hour to run on the highest heat setting at the time of this review.. Comparing that to my 2kw oil filled radiator which heats up for ten minutes then switches off and stays hot for at least an hour and giving at least the same heat essentially for 6.5p an hour. Value for money short term but pricey if you use it often.Summary = Would use it a lot if someone else was paying the bills. Perfect for holidays, under the desk at work.

This is a great little heater with two heat settings and also a cool fan setting for the warmer weather, it heats up really quickly and warms up the room adequately when you have no other heating.Its portable and light and excellent value, delivery was really fast, I ordered it a few days before christmas and despite the original delivery date of 24th december being changed to the 28th, the royal mail depot had it ready for collection on the 23rd !I am really happy I chose this product, only word of advice I have is that if you have a very sensitive smoke alarm in your property, it will pick up on the heat from it so try not to use it to close to or in the same room as your smoke alarm, and it goes without saying, do not leave it unattended

Bought this item as described as a cooling fan, however the air that comes out of it is far from cool despite being on the cold setting and maximum output. Not at all happy. Waste of money and very noisy too.

First of all, this heater is TINY. Really small, like a size of a small child's backpack. The other thing is that it is Very Loud. I bought it on the strength of the reviews claiming it was very quiet, but it really isn't. Those people must be deaf or living in already very noisy environments.The other thing is that it works very well to take the chill off a not too warm room, but as soon as the temperature goes down it really struggles to heat the place up. You are supposed to leave 120cm in front of the heater but the heat doesn't reach that far anyway and by the time the warm air gets to 120cm away from the heater, it already needs heating up again.The good thing about this heater is that it is very cheap and super portable, you can just move it with you easily from room to room which is something not easily done with an oil filled heater for example. The other good thing is that it doubles as a fan for hotter months, so at this price, it's pretty good all around.

This is nice and cheap, and it's probably my own fault for buying something so cheap, but the heating function of this broke almost instantly for me. The fan function still works, but it is a pretty weak fan.The concept is good, as it is a nice portable size, but the performance just isn't there.As it is low quality I cannot recommend the product, sorry.

Excellent for warming a room. I have it on a timer to start 30 min before I wake up and my room is comfortable by the time I get out of bed. I am used to fan noise ( warm climate..standing fans galore) so the fan noise does not bother me but this is not a silent heater. It's the equivalent of a standing fan so imo not an obnoxious noise.

Good product for the price, perfect to use when you need urgent heat or every now and again. Is a little noisy but not distracting. Happy with my choice

A good little heater.It has some different settings which can go from a cooling fan to a heater. The heat can be adjusted to suit the need.Cannot fault it and would recommend
