Bostik 808518 Evo-Stik Ultra Strong Control Adhesive (Pack of 2)

Needed a good adhesive that worked, item did not move when the clamps came off and for use on different surfaces, put picture frame together ( MANY DIFF SURFACES) and broken shower clamp which needed to be clamed together as it it sprung apart ( PLASTIC MOULD) both no problem, and you dont use much either, comes complete with spatchler and small mixing tray, a two part mix, evo-stik control the best ive used. Work well. The drying time was longer than I expected. From memory you can handle joined objects after 16hr, but full strength is not reached till 24hrs. Not a problem if you're in no hurry.

I’m a model-maker and occasionally quick setting glue is a hindrance rather than a help. Control Adhesive is basically old school epoxy resin as it was in the 60s and early 70s.The product is ideal if you have a job where adhesive needs to be applied and then pinned, and where subsequent pinning can cause other areas to become misaligned such as attaching rubbing strakes to a boat etc.. Slow setting control adhesive allows you to make the necessary slight readjustments until everything is aligned. Theres’ more than enough time to get it right. This would be either impossible or result in blind panic with 5 minute epoxy or cyanoacrylate glues. Good for those of us with a tendency towards OCD :)Also useful for aligning glued-in electric motor mounts on R/C boats: epoxy the mount with the motor attached and run it at just above stalling speed measuring current drain. The mount will remain movable for an extended period and small adjustments made until the motor is running with the lowest possible current indicating optimal alignment. Switch off and walk away until it’s set.The long setting time also gives you plenty of leeway for removing those odd bits of stray glue that always manage to escape long before they set.Once hardened (give it 24 hours if you can) it’s as good as any other epoxy resin. Recommended.

Does what it says on the pack. It has worked well on the things that I needed to stick together.

Very good glue, I used it to repair some jewellery and it did the job 100%. Drying time is around two hours but 24hours for it to set completely.

Great quality 2-part adhesive. Have always used this.

I used this product to stick the leather on a sofa together and as I write, it’s still holding. I would have given it 5 stars but had to mix the contents of 2 tubes before use.

Very easy to work with and the results are excellent !
