BIXOLON SOHO Series Slim Label Maker Printer. This little tiger is a very fast printer. I use it for ebay shipping. Built solid like a brick. Takes up very little space. Drivers are easy to install. I use it on my iMac, thus it is mac friendly which is often a problem for printing. Not here, I'm quite satisfied with this printer.

First thing I noticed after opening the box and placing the XF3-40 Printer on my desk was the slim shape and compact size. It fits nicely on my desk! The installation was fast and easy. I printed a test page and noticed it was really fast...6 IPS. It also automatically loaded the first label. My main use is printing shipping labels. The print was clear and the barcodes looked great! I highly recommend the BIXOLON XF3-40 Label Printer.

We bought Bixolon because UPS said they only support this brand, but it turns out UPS doesn't support this model. Ouch #1. Then we had issues with blank labels spitting out. Ouch #2. That issue was fixed using a procedure that's not mentioned in the manual for calibrating the printer for the labels we are using. Finally, the quality of the printer drivers is fuzzy, but scans. Ouch #3. Maybe it's a Mac only issue, but for crystal clear labels, we recommend a driver from Peninsula-Group.com. Not cheap, but really well done & supported.

I purchased this to print shipping labels for my online store. It was very easy to use and to setup. I like how the labels feed very easily into the printer and print without any ink!

The great thing about this shipping label maker is that it is super durable and strong on the outside. I am very impressed by the high-quality material that this shipping label maker is made out of and I can tell it was made with the intention of withstanding travel. First of all, it is very compact and there is no assembly required. It is made out of both metal and plastic which gives it a bit of weight so that it can sit still on a desk and make sure it is durable if you are traveling with it. If you are a major seller like me, this can be running a mile a minute and I am impressed that the exterior materials never get too hot. This is a sign that it will have longevity. As far as the labels themselves, the ink is a true black color and it doesn’t start to fade in color even after you run a few labels. There is also no smudging which is great for shipping because you don’t have to worry about it not scanning. This really is professional-grade quality!The major downfall of this is the software design and the instructions. I think that this is going to need a lot more testing before being completely marketable because the step-by-step process for getting the shipping label from the computer to the printer is very complicated and different for every device. For example, if you have a Mac like me, the software you need to use is completely different than Windows. Of course, this wouldn’t be an issue if the directions outlined this, but they don’t really tell you what to do and even in the information about the software, it is all out of order.Overall, the quality of the shipping labels is professional grade and impressive, but actually getting to the printing of them is tough. I recommend it as long as you are willing to do some testing!

Easy setup and great user interface for Shopify. Makes my online order processing a breeze! Great quality printing and hardware at a great price point. I’ll continue to buy these as we scale our business.

Don't mess with the driver settings, the default settings work perfectly.
