I've been using this for a couple of months now and it's only about half gone. You only need a small amount, and make sure you rub it between your fingers a lot as it's quite gritty initially. Regarding the smell - I actually rather like it. I can only describe it as smelling slightly sawdusty!

Rocky Mountain Barber Company Cedarwood Beard BalmFull disclosure. This is my first experience using a beard balm, usually I just don't bother with anything. But after being so impressed with Rocky Mountain Barber Company's shaving cream, I just had to give this stuff a whirl.Like the shaving cream, this comes with proper man appeal via the no-nonsense aluminium twist top tin, containing 2oz of product.I've been sporting the same style goatee for well over twenty years and have never really taken any steps to care for it, other than regular trimming. It was always a little dry, sharp and unruly. The hairs never really showed much willingness to lay flat, but I wear it quite short so I just figured there wasn't really much I could do about it. Apparently I was dead wrong.Firstly, I defy any man to open this tub of 100% natural goodness and not take a long deep whiff of the glorious cedarwood scent within. The paste appears firm in the tin but scoops out easily and warms up quickly in the palm or on the fingers with just a little rubbing. It massages into the beard effortlessly and leaves absolutely no feeling of residue, even when I end up using far too much because I just love what this stuff does for my whiskers! Once applied the sent is not as strong as it is in the tin, but it does give off subtle wafts for an hour or so afterwards to pleasantly tickle your nostrils.I run a wide toothed comb through my goatee once the balm is applied and my beard actually behaves and displays a semblance of control throughout the day, laying smooth and flat. It also gives a healthy lustre and light catching glint to my facial fuzz. I can run thoughtful fingers over my beard, which I have a habit of doing, and there's no product transfer at all. My beard now looks so damn soft and healthy, I'm cursing myself for not using a balm for the last twenty years.

It's a scent I like rather than love but I'm surprised it's so polarising for some. The product melts into your hand very easily and I'd say it tames a beard rather than styles it. If it's twiddly moustaches and shapes you want them this is a bit light. However it brings some control and leaves you looking well groomed with a nice softness to the hair. I like it a lot and my wife notices the difference.

Great at moisturising but not a fan of the scent.

An overall great product. I like the scent but the misses isn't as keen. I use the oil product (sold separately) first in the morning before work to hydrate the skin. I let that soak in before using a kitchen towel to then wipe the beard hairs to a dryer state to then reapply this balm. This may seem odd to someone reading but the beard oil is more so to tend to the skin below the beard but it does have its benefits for the hair it's self also. But I like to use the balm specifically for moisturising the hair it's self and to help style it which it does fantastically.

Decent balm that leaves your beard feeling soft bt also offers decent hold (I have a fairly long beard and it takes that pretty well).Scent wise, another review said something akin to saw dust and I'd agree, it's not unpleasant just maybe not for everyone. Would reccomend.
