Works For Bacon Too
I haven't used this for a smashburger yet, but I have cooked a bit of bacon with this.And it works really good for that.It doesn't so much stop the bacon from curling, but it will press it flat.I put it on the bacon when cooking the first side, works perfect for that. When I flip the bacon is when some of the pieces curl up. It's a bit of a pain to un-curl it. Not the BBQ Press fault, it's the bacon. When I get it un-curled a little I put this back on top of it. That's when this works great again, cooking the bacon more evenly because there is more contact with the pan.I usually cut the length of my bacon in half, and this will flatten 5 of those pieces at one time.Will use this on all of my bacon, maybe someday I'll make a burger...... Probably a bacon burger

Great for burgers and bacon!
This press works great for smash burgers on the griddle! Additionally, it is useful for holding down bacon to keep it from curling while cooking in a skillet. It has a nice sized handle and is easy to clean. The built in bottle opener is also a bonus!

Perfect for smash burgers
The base is metal and the handle is solid wood. It works perfectly for the addition to the grill set and it can be use to make smash burgers or we like smashed cinnamon rolls on the flat top.

Comes in very nice packaging
This would make an excellent gift as it came wrapped up nicely in a black paper inside a nice gift box. The press itself feels very sturdy and solid. It works great for pressing meats or sandwiches on the grill or griddle.

Not bad
It was shipped on time and works as advertised. I like my burgers med-well and this nifty tool helps me grill them that way. It appears to be well-made and solid. It packs some weight. Not sure why you would use this as a bottle opener but I guess it's better to have, than want.
