Knives 2018: The World’s Greatest Knife Book

I’ve been buying a version of this book for the past three years.They all of sharp detailed photos and a wide variety of knife designs are covered.90% + of the knives are customs. This isn’t the book you want if you are looking for examples from knife “brands”.At the end of each boom there is a “Factory Trends” section that has a few pages of production - mid-tech Knives.Note that 30% or so of the pages are devoted to knife maker and resource listings.I would prefer it if more content was devoted to knives instead of the “White Pages” of custom knife makers.That said, I’ll certainly be purchasing the 2019 Edition at the end of the year.

Now that I regularly watch Forged in Fire, the yearly Knives books are more interesting and informative. Last year I made the mistake of ordering the Kindle version which was not nearly as satisfying as a "real" book. I do agree with on reviewer who commented on the number of art knives, I'd like to see more working knives.

My husband liked the book. He and my son use it frequently.

very informative and great pictures of different knives. I really enjoyed this book. I will enjoy this book for many years.

I get one every year. High quality pictures and some good articles. I would recommend this book for anyone from a collector to just flipping pages looking at some very nice knives.

This book is great for those who are interested in knives. Obviously. I got it for my dad. He is a knife collector. Its a good book, interesting knive's designs there. 1/3 book contains of unnecessary details which I found unusable, other than that its perfect.

Just as good as the 2017 edition & I look forward to 2019's!

I have commented in a reply earlier but will reiterate the value I find with all of my Knives Annuals which I own since the 1981 inception. There are some issues with organizations listed that no longer are functioning and it is too bad fewer listings of makers are being shown and often with not enough info related to website, email and perhaps other social media
