A great addition to the DIY-er's toolkit
I bought these to help with building my own concrete countertops, and was very pleasantly surprised by how well they worked. I took the countertop up to 2000 grit for a mirror shine, before changing my mind and knocking it back down to 150 grit to stain and seal, and they got me through every stage of the process like a champ.I should say here that I'm a relatively inexperienced DIY-er who has never done anything like this before. Learn from my mistakes, and make sure you either section off the part of the house you're polishing in, or cover everything and everyone in the house with plastic before you start. It's been 4 months, and we're still finding concrete dust in the darndest places...

Worked perfectly
I used these for a small project (polishing the edges of a large 2' x 4' ceramic tile that is visible on two of the edges. I didn't use any water in my application. I can't speak for the longevity of these as my project was pretty small. But the edges of the tile are as smooth as glass. I'm very happy with these polishing pads.

Wet sanding compromises velcro adhesion
Used these to sand down our concrete countertops. We started with just a trowled surface and were able to successfully work all the way up to a very smooth slick surface with these pads.We dry sanded from 300 to 1000 grit then started wet sanding from there up.My only complaint is that once you started wet sanding it compromised the velcro adhesion to the orbital sander. On a few occasions the velocity of the orbital sander sent the sanding pad flying. Not only annoying but could take out an eye or window if you're not lucky!Still worth it, just something to consider if you plan to do mostly wet sanding

Worth the money and does a nice job.
All in all a great set of products. I used them to resurface a marble table and it took off years of dirt and scratches. Only negative side I couldn't get the high gloss shire, but that was probably more with the powder (paste) I used.

Polishing surface works great, velcro backing is sub-par
Used these with an orbital sander to polish a sandstone table top, they worked great. Used these with water, the left a good smooth consistent finish. The velcro backing on these did not stick without applying even pressure with the sander on.

I liked them
I had a piece of Zodiac solid surface quartz counter top that came out of a remodeled kitchen. I was going to use it in a bathroom but about 6 inches of the face edge was not finished as it was where it was epoxied to another piece. I purchased these polishing pads hoping that I could polish that 6 inches on my own. I originally thought that I could use an old Craftsman variable-speed buffer/polisher but found out that the threads on it are not today's standard. So I wound up using my Dewalt orbital sander with hook-n-loop pad. I will say that these pads did not stay on the orbital sander very well because sanding pads use a finer hook-n-loop and the pads have a courser hook-n-loop. But with enough pressure on the sander, the pads stayed on for the short amount of time needed. One suggestion I have is that since these pads are designed to be used with water lubrication, I found it easier to just dip the pads in a bucket before attaching to the sander. The pads stayed wet enough for the short time they were to be used.

Works great
I bought these to polish my concrete countertops. In the meantime I built custom medicine cabinets for our two bathrooms and cut two 36x36 inch mirrors in half for the doors. The 500 grit pad was perfect for polishing the edges. In fact I had to be careful as it removed material much faster than I expected using my random orbital sander. I could not believe how good of a job they performed. Now on to my countertops.

Pleased with the results
Very thankful I found this product before tearing my marble out of the shower to replace it. Used the pads on my Battery Powered Dewalt Hand Sander (Hook and Loop type velcro) on speed 7 (full speed) and took a little time but kept feeling the surface with my hand and it improved every disk. Worth the money.
