An Explicit Anthology of True Crime
This volume contains seven true crime stories. I have previously read about all of these serial killers, but the stories were interesting nonetheless. The chapters covered Richard Trenton Chase, Carl Panzram, Dorothea Puente, Gertrude Baniszewski, Harold Shipman, Leonarda Ciancuillo, and Robert Hansen. This is an excellent starter book for new true crime readers because these are all interesting subjects.62

Non stop read
I couldn't put this down. It's amazing how murderers look like every people & have such dark sides hidden away just waiting for the right moment. I was not disappointed with this anthology!

True Crime Buffet
This is a book made for true crime buffs. It has a thorough rendition of the life and crimes of seven very distinct serial killers. Previously I'd read some of these full length books as well as shorter works featuring these depraved individuals. Other people were important only in what could be gotten from them by whatever means necessary. Some of those means were truly horrific. They were or at least gave the appearance of being charming, when in actuality they were manipulative narcissists. It didn't matter who they hurt, how much pain and suffering was caused as long as they ultimately got what they sought. This book should be dedicated to the victims - often forgotten, sometimes never identified, while others were dutifully chronicled as victims of an infamous murderer had family who wished law enforcement had apprehended the evil killers much sooner. The viciousness demonstrated by these callous homicidal monsters is shocking.A lot of research went into these seven narratives. The authors were thorough giving the reader a very detailed account of the lives and crimes of these notorious killers: Richard Chase, Carl Panzram, Dorothea Fuentes, Gertrude Baniszewski, Dr Harold Shipman, Robert Hansen, and Leonarda Cianciulli.

Fantastic
These were disturbing and fascinating stories. It shows that life and abuse can turn a good person bad quickly. Sometimes so sad

Intense. Educational. Insightful.
This book was an amazing insight into some of the lesser talked about serial killers. Names that bring chills to the room when mentioned. People who are so terrifying that some of their own children wanted nothing to do with them. From the Vampire Killer of Sacramento to The Doctor From Hell, these stories tell us the true atrocities that happen when we don't even realize what's going on in someone's mind.

Interesting and factual but not perfect
I would have given 5 stars if there had been more proofreading. I reported several grammatical errors. Hopefully they will be corrected. Overall, it was an easy read, but not exactly a page-turner.

Not like the photo
In the photograph it shows separate books in a box but this is 1 extra large book so unable to read it in bed as it's too heavy. Still looking forward to reading the book but it's so heavy.
