Teak 18 inch Shower Bench: The Sulawesi Bench

I mostly like it (have only had it a couple of days) but have an issue with the slats on top. It's made with a block under the middle slats so they don't drain. The bench IS sturdy & I like it otherwise.UPDATE: This bench just broke. It collapsed right under me as I was putting lotion on after my shower. I'm short, not too heavy and mostly the only one who uses it. The small peg and screw weren't enough to last I guess. I had it a year and 3 months.

This is very well made and sturdy. I weigh 220lbs not a bit creaky. Screws and glue hold the seat together. You must assemble the legs and cross brace to the seat. Very nice finish that beads the water. Sustainable teak harvest. Rubber feet. Previous reviewer mentioned water won't drain from three slats, this is true. No worries, turn it upside down on a couple of bath Loofa to save the finish. I'm a fixer so a small drill bit and a bit of relief on the legs and it drains easily. If you sit and rock backwards you may tip.This is a great value and exactly the right thing to wash your feet. Recent ankle surgery made this a real upgrade in shower comfort.

This bench is a great product and well worth what it costs. It's easy to put together, sturdy and very well made. I'll use this bench for years to come! If you need a shower bench this one's for you.

Purchased this chair from the buyer and after a few months, it began fading to now a year later the chair has completely lost its color. Upon further research and seeing other sellers offer warranties for the chair, I contacted this seller only to send a very rude email stating for me to " WASH CHAIR WITH SOAP AND WATER". The chair is not worth what you are paying, especially when other sellers offer warranties - please do yourself a favor and don't purchase this chair from this seller - find another who will back up there product with warranty.

Great for the shower. Would definitely order again when I redo the next bathroom.

Sigh. I can say two good things about this: it arrived on time and Amazon's customer service is exemplary. Other than that, save your $$$.I had high hopes for this bench, particularly given its price... I noticed the scratches right away, but was sort of willing to overlook them until I realized that the legs did not come with the rubber feet as pictured on the website. !!! Long story short, the product is not worth the price listed nor my aggravation. I think I'm being kind by giving it 2 stars.Amazon customer service, on the other hand, gets 5 stars as always. Thanks, Amazon, for making things right and keeping my blood pressure from boiling over.
