AFX/Racemasters Horsepower Shootout Set AFX22063 HO Slot Racing Sets

This is a great starter set for classic HO scale slot car racing. I found it more fun to pop the magnets out of the cars so they can drift.

The Horsepower shootout set is exactly what I expected it to be, the set that brings it all together, the cars, track, power supply, controllers etc! A+ AFX!!!

Updated comment at bottom :I am an adult, my wife bought this for me for Xmas because I was always into slot cars and racing. I grew up in the days of the good old tyco racing sets, the cliff hangers back when these tracks were really something, they were fun and worked. This set first of all is very expensive for what you get , if you ever had these tracks back in the tyco days you know the little gripes, tracks not staying together, car issues , blah blah blah , well I was hoping being 120 dollars more then the 90 feet of track and everything else you used to get that the quality would have improved.. well to my surprise it is worse then ever , the tracks almost break when you try and snap them together, they do not go together well at all. You only get very few tracks, and some of the track set ups they give you don’t even match up and can’t even be put together. Just crazy, that’s the first part, once you get it together you have to make sure the actual metal track isn’t sticking up where the connections are or the cars won’t work .. when you do get it actually all together the cars stop and go , stop an go , the only way to get them to make it around the track it to floor it which then like the old days , they fly off the track . It’s either fly off the track or don’t race. I was very disappointed and was hoping for so much more with the price of this set, I am by no means blaming the seller at all , they just sell what they get I guess, I have filed to return it and will see how it all goes , I will update my review and hopefully have good thing to say abt the seller. Also my box wasn’t in the best condition when I received it but again I don’t know where it came from or how many hands touched it before I received it so again I wouldn’t place blame on anyone one person there either, let’s see how it all goes. But if you are looking for a nice race track or something fun def do not buy this for a kid they will never get it together in one piece lol.UPDATE : 2/1/24 . I changed my star review to 4 stars instead of the original 1 star due to the seller being excellent to work with , none of my issues were seller related and they refunded my return without any problems at all. This seller is very easy to deal with if you have to. Would highly recommend and would buy from again. It’s sellers like these that make me feel good abt buying from Amazon . And just to say again if you read my whole review none of my issues where seller related , there just sell a product not making it, excellent seller
