Perfect fit for my 12" Tramontina fry pan. This is a heavy carbon steel pan and this handle makes it easy to use.

These keep me from getting burned on steel handles. I put a little cooking oil on the handle of the fry pan and it slid on easily.

I ordered this to use on a Matfer Bourgeat 11 7/8" fry pan and it fits snugly over the metal handle. This Lodge handle is a little thicker than I would prefer, but it definitely offers a secure grip and it does not get hot at all when used on the stove. I haven't tried it in the oven yet. Don't forget to remove it to clean, dry & lightly oil the metal handle from time to time.

If you are looking for a handle that doesn't get loose, or too thin, too small for ironcast or carbon steel skillet. This is the only one that turned up in my search. It is expensive, buy worth the money and the bother to deal with other line of products that are designed for other pans.

This fits my 15 year old Ikea big pan like a glove. The pan is used in the oven and a protector is essential. Whilst you still need to use a oven glove or cloth, you will not get caught out by a grabbing a red hot piece of steel with bare hands!

Fits the handle of our Lodge carbon steel pan perfectly. Fairly easy to push all the way onto handle and remains securely in place without moving or slipping. Flat design will keep it from twisting, and ribbing will keep it firmly in hand!

Expensive, but transforms useabilty and safety of pan

It's a lot ticker than I thought, especially at the middle.I suspect that it could be uncomfortable for those will small hands.However, it provides a very decent grip overall.For fitting it onto the Lodge steel pan handle, it slides in easily and also slides out very easily.I'm slightly concerned that it may slip out when I don't want it to, but so far it has not been an issue.I got the one in Orange colour and I think it's a good looking colour combination.
