The top dust cover does indeed remove easily, and I found this very helpful because some of my games get the series x running really hot regardless of time played.The fan itself works great, turn off your console and you can feel how much heat it draws out of your series x. The only drawback I see is that it doesn't fit flush with the top of the xbox and there is no way to secure it so you can't lay the series x on its side.The lights are a neat little addition, though if I didn't have it out of sight then these lights would constantly draw my attention away from the TV. They are well done and very pretty, it reminds me of an enthusiast fan set up with lights in a PC tower.The dust grates and socket plugs are a nice addition to this kit as the holes on the series x are fairly large and I can tell that without them the inside would become a dust magnet.I miss the good old days of Atari when things like this weren't needed, you could open a console from back then that has never been opened and it would be spotless. Sadly, the tech nowadays requires massive cooling with few options to do so. I am glad to have something like this to help out even a little.

It works as expected however the fan could be a bit quieter. Also take note, its manual on and off.

This is a must for anyone who owns a Xbox series X. The unit gets so hot, and this does a great job of dispersing the heat. There is a lid that goes on the top that directs the heat down and away from the Xbox. I personally keep mine off, so the heat gets blown straight upward. There are 3 fan speeds, which all are effective. As far as the noise given off by the fan, it doesn't bother me personally and usually drowned out by the game audio. Some people may say different. The LED lighting is pretty cool. Multiple colors, including Xbox green.

it's a good fan for the price, the leds are pretty. But. if you're used to just turning on your xbox with your controller remotely, you may find that the fan ends up causing issues as it does not turn on when your consol does and will cause it to overheat much faster. Certainly something to keep in mind

Really great but once used for some time the fan starts making making weird noise in a way. Its still usable and doesnt affect anything else as the noise can be stopped and also prevents loads of dust entering from the top

I've had the fan for about 3 MTHS now and I've used it every day for approximately 10 hrs every day and it's still working perfectly. I've had to buy a few and they stopped working not long afterwards, but this is the kiddie. Highly recommended

Thought after I have been using this device for a few days now, I would like to inform anyone else out there that this unit is so noisy...!!! Whereas the Xbox is super quiet on its own, this device when installed and used makes far too much of a racket for my liking. It also get extremely hot, unlike the Xbox itself...!!!Doubt I shall be using it that much - Not a good buy in my opinion...!!!

My main concern was to keep all the fluff bunnies out the vents. The unit I kept my X Box in has no back to it and I found the lint was gathering, which is what led me to buy this product.The self adhesive grilles that go over the vents on the back are simplicity itself to install and there are more in the package than you could possibly need. The rubber plugs for the un-used ports and other gaps in the X Box unit are equally easy to apply.Be aware that the X Box has to be in the upright position to fit the fan, which meant that mine had to come out of the unit. I'm not sure how I feel about that at the moment, I guess we'll see when any kids come round and start bouncing round the front room. If yours is placed somewhere you need to keep it on its side, then forget this for starters.The fan section fits snugly on top of the X Box Series X. The colours are pleasing and the facility for more USB ports is welcome. Where I've marked this product down is the noise the fan makes, I mean, it is loud. There are 3 levels for the fan and even the lowest one was distractingly loud. I suppose the up side is you can't forget to turn it off after a gaming session; the USBs on you Series X don't appear to power off when the console does, even in the "green" shutdown mode.Does the fan actually help to keep the X Box cooler? Who knows!? I wasn't reaching into the AV cupboard every 5 minutes to see how hot it was getting before. It stands to reason if you obstruct the vents with a smaller mesh grille to keep dust out, you may need something to increase the air flow to compensate. I'm not aware of any temperature metrics being available from the X Box OS, so I'm not sure how you'd ever objectively tell. The bottom of the unit was very cool to the touch and the top end was quite warm. This might be because that's where the main CPU and GPU sit, I just don't know and I'm not about to start pulling apart my precious X Box to find out.
