Mou Li Hua is a very popular tea in China that combines a unique aroma of jasmine flowers and Green tea. Jasmine flowers are collected in Fujian four times a year. The best time to collect tea leaves is in the early spring when the jasmine is at its most fragrant. The tea retains its own distinct taste with the exquisite added taste of jasmine. Jasmine’s delicate aroma is a perfect compliment to the tea and doesn’t overpower the taste of the tea. The bushes of this Green tea are grown at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. The tea leaves and buds are collected when they are very young. They are then processed in early spring, and are stored in sealed areas to await for the flowering season of jasmine. Jasmine tea is produced in two ways. The fast way: jasmine flowers and tea leaves are dried with thermal heating for a day. By using this method the tea doesn’t lose any flavor. This is how they are treated in big factories. The second way: the tea leaves and jasmine buds are stored together for a hundred days, and then the tea is removed from the jasmine. In this way the tea does not lose its taste and properties, but is more expensive. This is the traditional way of handling Mou Li Hua tea and is conducted in this way on small farms. We sell Jasmine tea prepared by the second method, as we work with farmers and not large factories.

Ordinary, not premium
It’s a basic jasmine tea, not a premium tea. It smells good, tastes good and keeps well. It can get very bitter if you use too much and be very watery if you use too little. It’s plenty for a weekly tea drinker to consume over a period of months.

I'm a big fan of Jasmin tea and this is one of the best I've ever had
I was excited to try the Jasmin Green Tea from Miyagi Tea. I'm a big fan of Jasmin tea and this is one of the best I've ever had. Sometimes you can hardly smell/taste the Jasmine. Not with this one. It is very aromatic. I thought this would be a small container but was mistaken. It comes in a nice size tin container which I can reuse over and over. Love it, will defiantly come back for the other order.

Nice aroma, but not great quality
It has a nice jasmine scent, but I was disappointed by the quality. The tea included some stems with the tea leaves and flower petals.
