I found this VR headset on a black friday offer. It resulted very cheap. I was looking for a VR that I can play with, but was not ready to invest too much in a gadget.I have a Samsung Galaxy J& Prime. It fits well in the headset. It can be adjusted to bigger or smaller phones. The strap are very good and I was able to fit my head and also tighten to fit my daughter head. The weight of the phone and the headset is very well handled by the straps. I watched some youtube videos in 3D and was a nice experience. It did not felt heavy on the face.I was not aware that for full 3D VR you need a phone that can sense your movements, not many cellphones do that. I tried for a short time with my wife phone and was well balanced when I moved my head. It is compatible with the cardbox app which is pretty much standard for VR. It has a button that when you press it, it press on the screen of the phone as needed for this app.The bluetooth controler was a bonus. It is really cumbersome to figure it out. I tried for a short time as a media controler and as pointer and was really dissapointed. You have to rotate the controler depending on the way you intend to use it. The instructions for the controller were not helpful. But as I said, the controller was a bonus and not really expected much from it.

I bought this for my teenage son. He has an iPhone 5. His phone fit, but didn't work. I let him use my S7, but the phone doesn't really fit. Yoo much light and you have to shut one eye to not see double. We finally got a his phone to work on one app, but the picture definitely did not feel 3D. Plus every single game/movie requires a new app yo be downloaded which is very annoying. The remote didn't pair up. And the 'button' the instructions tell you to push DOESN'T EVEN EXIST! All the packaging was thrown away Christmas morning which is the ONLY reason I am not sending back.

Not sure where the 5 star ratings come from. The headset itself is cumbersome, very delicate, and it's basically a balancing act to get your phone in there. The headset itself is cheaply made, with light leaks all around which are very distracting. The controller is basically useless, no matter what app I am trying to use it in, it opens google music and I have to start from scratch. The instructions are spotty, some things are helpful, others frustrating. I am returning the headset

The media could not be loaded.  Summary:Before I purchased this VR headset + Bluetooth controller, I already tested 17 pairs of VR headsets (and about the same number of Bluetooth controllers).This is considered a low-budget VR headset, that is used with a smartphone only (I emphasize that, because not everyone realizes that). The headset is suitable for smartphones with a screen size between 4.0” to 6.3”, and it fit all the smartphones I tried with it.The package included the headset, a cleaning cloth to clean the lenses of the headset, a black elastic shading board to fit the experience using the headset for smartphones with a small size screen, and a short user manual in English – this is what you usually get when purchasing a low budget VR headset, nothing exceptional.The headset is made from plastic, the built quality is good, and it has a rubber headband that is padded in the forehead area & Velcro straps to adjust the size of the headband. The headband allows the headset to fit both young & old users.The headset has enough space for your nose, and If you’re wearing glasses you’ll be able to wear them while using the headset.There are 2 ways to adjust the lenses, as in most VR headsets. The adjustment is easy and convenient, but there is an annoying issue that when placing the smartphone and closing its cover, it might mess the adjustment of the back/forth from you.At the bottom of the headset it has a control button for your smartphone when its placed inside the headset. This is something that wasn’t available in many headsets I reviewed and is good to have if you don’t have a controller with you (but keep in mind this button isn’t supposed to replace the controller).Also, you can find at the bottom of the headset a QR code to calibrate your headset for optimal use with apps such as Google cardboard. This is something that is not always given with VR headsets, and it’s good to have. All you need to do is scan the QR code with the app you’re using (i.e google cardboard).I got it in a bundle with the VR Shinecon SC-B01 wireless Bluetooth controller to enrich the VR experience. The controller comes inside this small detailed paper box along with a user manual in English. It operates using 2 AAA batteries that can last up to 40 hours of playtime. The controller itself is compact but it’s more comfortable to hold it horizontally, than to hold it vertically in one hand.Overall, the AOINE VR headset is a decent purchase if you consider buying a low budget VR headset. Its built properly and offers all the features that I could ask for from a low budget VR headset - The headset is comfortable to wear and easy to operate.The lenses in this headset are decent, I didn’t feel any dizziness after playing games and watching videos with the headset for more than 15 straight minutes, which in my opinion is a good indication to the quality of the lenses (but I still urge you not to play with it for too much time without having a break!).According to the manufacturer, the headset offers a field of view of 112 degrees, and I managed to set it so I wasn’t bothered from black areas on the sides.However, I did notice a slight interference of light from the outside that came throughthe lower right & left sides of the headset, but overall it offers quite an immersive experience.Please note I attached to this review screenshots + a video review I made about my experience with this controller.The pros:- The headset offers quite an immersive experience.- This is a comfortable VR headset, that is not too heavy and padded in the right places.It has enough space for your nose, an if you’re wearing glasses, you can use it with the headset.- Built-quality is OK.- Lenses seems to be OK as well, didn’t cause me dizziness after playing/watching videos with them for 15 minutes.- The headset is easy to adjust and will fit both kids and mature users.- The headset is easy to operate, includes 2 types of lenses adjustments, and has the action button at the bottom.- The headset includes a QR code on it to calibrate it with apps.The cons:- I noticed a slight interference of light from the outside that came through the lower right & left sides of the headset.- The controller is more comfortable to hold horizontally in two hands rather than to hold it vertically in one hand.- If the rotatable buttons on the sides are open a bit, then when I close the front cover it causes this part to move inside and then you might need to recalibrate the headset once again.****FAQ :****If you have any, please do ask and I will do my best to answer them.

All the positive reviews were misleading. The touch screen button does not work with the touch screen on any of our devices, nor does the remote. There are minimal instructions and no online information about the manufacturer.

I bought this to try VR but was disappointed as I could not use the remote even though it said that I had paired it as well as I was only able to do basic stuff. I can just as easily download the games on my Iphone 6 and play them without the headset. I returned the unit today after having it only 4 days.

The headset seems durable, light weight and comfortable. Unfortunately, despite intense research to ensure this would work, the Google cardboard app needed to use this vr headset is not compatible with any of our android devices, including multiple Samsung and LG phones. I believe this is due to a recent Google System Update, not Aoine. After taking a couple more hours to research a way around the updated google cardboard app to the original version, i have concluded that it is not possible and will be returning this headset. I am disappointed, but again I don't think this is Aoine's fault.

I purchased this item for my daughter’s cristmas present under the impresion that it was compatible with IOS. However the remote is not. It pair with the phone but does not respond with any game. We have tried all kinds of games. Followed instructions and nothing.
