Love it
I actually use this on my stove since my kitchen is poorly lit and the stove doesn't have an overhead light. It is used all the time, very durable and sturdy, the flexibility is great, the batteries were easy to put in, the zoom in and out feature works great, it goes from a small spot of light to a very large range to see the entire stove. It was worth the price for us

Construction is solid, brighter than expected!!
I build/update PC components and I often found myself yearning for a more focused light beam in tight accessible areas inside the PC case when upgrading and or detaching/attaching internal cables. After extensive research for a handsfree work light with a focusing beam and magnetic base I finally decided to give this one a shot and I am most happy with my decision. First off, this light is bright and can project a narrow light beam directly on the area you're working on. The magnetic base is strong and can be positioned horizontally or vertically with no fear of it detaching itself from any convenient magnetic surface. The roughly 17.5" gooseneck is flexible yet sturdy and the firmly attached magnetic base assures it won't wobble. Initially I had a bear of a time opening the battery compartment, ending up using an adjustable wrench (with a washcloth to protect the surface from damage) to get the cap off, but since doing so, I assuredly don't overtighten the cap when replacing batteries. Estimated battery life is between 8-17 hours, depending on the level of brightness you use. I'm using rechargeables which work great using this light. In summary this is a great purchase and I have no regrets in anyway. Highly recommend!!

Excellent lighting source
I’m not sure in my world that 5 star exists but this might be pretty close. I use it for lighting up my band saw blade when making precision cuts. Works far better than the one I originally got with my bandsaw. Magnet easily handles vibration. Not sure how long batteries will last but that depends on amount of use. Worth the price - would buy again.

NIce lamp, surprisingly well built
I've been on a long search for a lamp similar to the discontinued IKEA gooseneck "Jansjo" lamp and I believe I have found a worthy contender -- one that's even superior in some ways.Specs+ Overall length is 24 inches, flexible gooseneck portion is 17 inches.+ Daylight color tint -- "cool" light, not "warm" Probably 5,000 to 6,000 Kelvin+ Strong magnetic base+ Lamp head has a push-pull zoom that projects an adjustable but well-defined lighting circle -- minimal side spillage+ Two brightness levels. I learned that you don't have to fully click the switch to change brightness. It's enough to slightly press the switch to break contact then release. Full click is only necessary for power on/off.+ Stiff gooseneck stays when you bend it -- unaffected by gravity.Battery cap is a bit difficult to screw back on because of the spring and the fine threads but you'll get the hang of it. Since it's battery operated then you obviously can't leave it on indefinitely. But if you are handy with tools, you could wire this up with a 4.5 VDC battery eliminator. I did. If you use it intermittently then batteries are fine -- but I'd recommend Eneloop rechargeable batteries. The regular ones, not the "pro".If you plan to use the lamp with the base resting on a (non-magnetic) table, you'll need to make a small platform for the lamp to stick to. I made such a platform with a 4 x 5 x .5 inch scrap of wood on which I affixed a small steel plate at one end for the lamp to stick to. Perfect.Lamp feels solid and well-constructed. Push button feels solid. I bought two more on the strength of my impression with the first one.

Bright light
Couldn’t be happier with this light. A friend has one and I knew I had to have one. I also ordered one for my nephew.

Garbage. Don’t buy.
Welp, you take your chances nowadays buying this junk on Amazon, because reviews are more worthless than ever. Let’s talk about this crappy light.I bought this light to help illuminate my work area while finishing my knives. It worked well for 5 seconds, then I noticed the fatal flaw:The adjustable arm that the light attaches to is loosely screwed into the magnetic base, and you can’t move the light without unscrewing it, and having to screw it back into place. Do that enough times, and the rubber sleeve on the outer starts to deteriorate and break. There’s no way to permanently affix it to the base without lock tight or some other product that can immobilize it.The battery holder may be the cheapest thing I have ever seen. I have changed the batteries 4 times, and this crappy connect point is already bent to hell and back.Oh well. You can’t win them all. But in the grand scheme of Chinese junk, this thing is close to the bottom. Save your money, and look for something else.

Exactly as expected
Using this light in my hobby shop, very bright spot light for detail work. Feels very sturdy and well built. Neck is stiff enough to hold in position, even when changing the light from spot to flood. Batter compartment lid was a little tricky to thread back on due to nice tight threads and a strong battery spring. Just a bit of patience and even pressure while turning made it go on just fine. Magnet could be stronger, but does the job fine on thicker steel.

Convenient in a pinch. Base magnet weak.
The light is easy to use. But the battery life, and the base magnet is too weak.

Seems used / a refurb
It works ok, but arrived coated with a sticky substance - possibly repaired?Lens was also dirty with a smear on the inside of the lens that couldn't be cleaned.Almost certainly not a Cree LED - colour was a weird green-white usually seen with cheaper LEDs.
