Tropical-Reef 2kg Mix Black & White Aquarium Fish Tank Gravel Substrate

I bought this gravel substrate to top up what I already had in my aquarium and wish now that I had come across it before. Unlike most gravels this has no sharp edges that can damage a fish`s mouth and appears too large for any of my goldfish to swallow. I always thoroughly rinse any gravel I add to an aquarium and this was by far the easiest cleaning I have ever had to do - 4 kilos in under 10 minutes. It also looks good in the aquarium. All in all superb value for money.

I do like this gravel. My pleco and guppies like this gravel and hopefully the new betta will too.I CANT STRESS ENOUGH though that you need to thoroughly wash the gravel otherwise the water will go cloudy and have particulates floating around in it that seem to float to the top. I recommend 5 thorough rinsing's using a colander.The only other criticism is that there is more white than black gravel. It would have been nice to have a bit more of a balance rather than 2/3s white and 1/3 black, but saying that it does look great and it came on time.

Lovely stones, took hardly any rinsing to get clean. Very pleased.

Arrived with no problem at all, all well protected and in time. As good as it could be.

Bought these for a goldfish aqurium and had to wash them a lot before hand but they are too small as the fish keep sucking them into they mouths. Bought larger stones instead. They look OK though.

Really glad it doesn't look like pebbledash lol, not alot of dust when 1st rinsing from the pack. Looks really good in our little tank 😊
