From Hell To Texas

This is a great "hard rocking", "Southern Metal" Album by NP. This band is from Atlanta. They took their name from a comment Ted Nugent made, while performing a concert in Nashville. Some of the highlights include "Speed Machine", "From Hell to Texas", "Drunk Driving Man", "I'm so High", "Ain't Your Business", "Dead Men Can't Get Drunk", and "The Late Great U.S.A."The lead singer is Blaine Cartwright, and his wife Ruyer Suys plays lead electric guitar, then you get Karen Cuda on electric bass guitar, and Jeremy Thompson on drums.If you like "hard", Southern Rock, then you'll probably like this one. Nashville Pussy is what raw Rock & Roll is all about! From "Hell To Texas" is one of my favorites. Kick ass is an understatement !

Should be more popular.

A Great C.D. ! This Band Seems To Better Themselves With Each New Release ! This C.D. Has A Better, Crisper, Rock-N-Roll Sound Than Their Prior Albums !

The new Nashville Pussy cd has it's good moments, but it is not my favorite Nashville Pussy cd. I am not to crazy about the mixing of the cd. It seems to be missing some high end in the mixing. Ruyter and Blaine do some killer guitar playing but the songs are to me a little cheesy.It's not one I will listen to on a regular bases, but it goes good with the collection.

It's a great album. Nice gritty raw rock n roll. If you get a chance to see them live, you are in for a show.

Correggo il mio giudizio alla luce delle produzioni successive. Resta, a mio gusto, il peggior album della band -o il meno divertente, estetica della copertina a parte- ma adesso lo ascolto e percepisco inserito all'interno di una dinamica di salutare evoluzione (tranquilli, non diventano i Pink Floyd!)

Everything about this album is excellent, the lyrics, guitars and artwork, all top notch stuff.I highly recommend this CD to anyone who has enjoyed their previous stuff.

Dans le style rock'n'roll gras et poisseux, l'album est parfait.Il démarre en trombe avec un "speed machine" à bord d'une diligence folle fonçant à travers les plaines arrides de l'Arizona, batteries en battements de sabots de chevaux emballés sur le sol de boue séchée, coups de fouets et ruades de guitares au rendez-vous. La deuxième song, "born to die", nous renvoit au bon vieux temps des duels de colts, où la poudre parle et les vapeurs de tords-boyaux frelaté vienne vous tordre l'hypothalamus à moins de vous exploser le foie. Troisième song, c'est parti pour les bonnes vieilles comptines de saloon où un "drunk driving man" est la moindre des choses. Etc. Bref, un album qui, à sa sortie, a été descendu par un Rock et Folk tristounet et maussade, qui n'a pas vu le sable du désert et les Rattlesnakes, les bon vieux cactus, et les putes de tripot. A réécouter en lisant un bon "Blueberry", tiens.Pour moi, c'est du 16/20, haut la (les) mains!

通算5枚目にあたる(はず)の本作品。基本的には2nd以降の"ラフ＆タフ"パンキッシュなハードロック路線です。爆走度はほぼ無くなり、これといった楽曲は無いですが、バンドのグルーヴ感、ギターアンサンブルの妙、バンドのタイム間は本作が一番だと思います。
