I already own a  Highlander Silver Camping Mat  and it's a fine bit of kit, but I found it keep sliding away from under me in the tent (I toss & turn in my sleep). A reflective mat isn't keeping you warm if it's not actually underneath you!!! Even when it was under me I found the rest of my (2 person) tent floor "felt" cold as I searched around the tent for kit.So I took a chance on this, a double-size version. Different brand but the same idea, just larger. I was much more able to keep it under me, and it's much better for being "in" the tent and lazing around - my entire groundsheet is covered.Whether this is the right model for you (vs a single one) is something for you to decide. If you have a single tent, or a light sleeper, consider a single one and save some weight (the Highlander model linked is just 85 grams!). But for me personally, in my 2-person tent, the weight & extra bulk penalty is worth it.Either way these things really do work. I don't find them thick enough to sleep on directly (I'd recommend an actual sleeping mat too, I get on very will with the Klymit inflatable range) but they DO reflect the heat back up. They turn a very chilly groundsheet into something that's warm to the touch.Measured weight: 215 grams

Double size but very little cushioning to speak of. Equivalent of lying on a blanket. Had a rather uncomfortable two weeks camping with it, although it folds up small for a backpack. The piping off the edge ripped off as well. I doubled it up and stuck the edge back on with gaffer tape!

looks and feels the part, but I have not yet tested it in cold winter conditions. A bit bulkier than I was expecting, but it probably needs the padding, so it is fine with me.

Purchased two of these to lay inside our tent sleeping pod to keep us warmer at night, great price, come rolled up with click fasteners, put them foil side down to the ground and we definitely noticed a difference in terms of being warmer. Great buy

Item labelled correctly but was incorrect. Ordered 120x190cm. I received one that was only 60cm wide. Otherwise the material seems decent. Would have been fine if correct size. Most annoying thing was that I could not contact anyone to sort as i need the larger size. I dont want to order another and get the wrong size again.

We use these under air beds when camping, and as carpets in the tent sleeping compartments - makes a huge difference. These are a good size and thickness for the money.

Used this camping in france and definately kept heat in tent and cold from ground away.Would advise also using something padded as well as this but this does its heat protecting job well.
