The best projector! Great upgrade over previous versions
I’ve been a long time fan of nexigo projectors as they are imo the best in the market without sacrificing thousands of dollars. I upgraded from pj30, to a pj30 and now pj40 and this was definitely worth the upgrade. First things that stood out were that it’s a bit brighter on max fan speed and boy do all the colors pop! I liked that with all the usual display adjustments such as brightness, contrast, saturation, tint, we could also adjust individual Red, green, and blue gains. This allowed 100% adjustment of the image.Another thing I liked is that there are now two 10w stereo speakers compared to one 5w in the pj30.The keystone adjustment has improved greatly, you can now adjust all 4 corners, as well as horizontal and vertical all independently without resetting each other. There is also a great auto keystone adjustment but I really like having full control of the individual adjustments. The image quality has improved greatly over the pj20, similar to pj30 but with full color control and a bit brighter which I like. Make sure to adjust fan speed to 9-10 when you want the best image quality! I turn mine down when I’m not watching a movie.Bluetooth speakers now have no lag at all and with the now Bluetooth technology, pairing is easy.Below attached some pics. First is with pj40 image, second is pj30. Both are great projectors, but look closely you can see the detail and brightness in the building and ground detail in the background. The image is much crisper and a bit brighter. Third image shows the individual red, green, blue gain settings which I think are rare in a projector.Overall this is a great improvement over the previous version in a nicer looking package. Great job nexigo!

SO good! In love!
I purchased another projector first- with all the bells and whistles (potable battery-options, android tv built-in, etc.) and it was terrible! I poured through reviews and found this one and I’m so glad I did!Great projector for a great price! I really like:1. The vibrant colors and brightness. It’s not dull or hard to see, and doesn’t cause my eyes strain.2. The sound- my other has a speaker and this one is way better quality. Nice bass and good volume.3. The zoom feature- it’s soooo nice not to have to worry about set-up and be able to not have to move the projector constantly to fit the screen.4. The WiFi and Bluetooth stay steady. I thought this was because my house WiFi somehow got spotty with my other projector but it was because that projector kept dropping the signal. This one hasn’t dropped it once.5. The remote works the fire stick too- no extra steps involved. I don’t have to have a bunch of remotes. When I pulled the tv stick in the hdmi port, the nexigo remote picked it up and it now controls the volume, fast-forward, rewind, pause, selection, etc.6. The focus, it has stay focused after I adjusted it. The adjuster is also hidden under a panel so you aren’t always touching it, if someone touches the projector or moves it, which is great to prevent accidental movement of the focus.Overall, I am very, very happy! Great picture, color, sound, ease-of-use and brightness. For a very fair price. I’ll update as I have it for the durability. So far, amazing quality!

Only had it 4 months and it is dead - just like many others have reported.
This is an update. I really liked this projector right up until the moment there was a loud pop and it died on us. It took about 4 months for this to happen. I see that a number of other low-star reviews mention the same thing. You should definitely opt for the extended warranty if you are going to take a risk on this projector. As it stands - I cannot recommend this projector to anyone.****Original review*****I have had this project for about a month. We have it mounted on our ceiling (~10 ft up) in our family room and are projecting it onto a roll-down screen (100" diagonal) from about 11 ft away. It was easy to square it up on the screen and it looks great. It is bright enough that we can watch it during the day without turning off all the lights or closing all the blinds (it looks a little washed out). When we do close the blinds and turn off the lights to watch a movie, it looks great. The menu looks a little clunky, but it is very easy to navigate to set everything up and switch sources. We currently have our Nintendo switch hooked up to one of the HDMI ports (I had to specify the TV resolution manually on the Switch) and a Fire 4K stick to the other. The resolution looks great for a 1080 system. We got a Tablo to give us OTA and DVR through the Fire Stick. We are about to remove our 55" TV and just use this. The sound is loud and rich enough for our 20x30 ft room (no carpet) if the house is quiet. I think we will get some sort of surround sound setup for movie nights.I think that my only complaint is the I really have to point the remote to the back of the projector to get it to respond - perhaps having a second IR receiver on the top would help (or perhaps it is a small issue with the remote). Also - I wish there was either dedicated source buttons or a switch source button on the remote (rather than having to go through the menu each time want to switch the source).I'll admit that I am curious if I would have liked the one with the built in Netflix option more. None the less, I'm quite happy with this projector and would get it again/recommend it to a friend.
