Physical Therapy and Massage for the Horse: Biomechanics-Excercise-Treatment, Second Edition

This is a perfect book on equine physical therapy, rehabilitation and basic massage! Even professional equine workers ude this book in their studies. I recommend to combine it with equine acupressure as well(e.g. book from Nancy Zidonis).

Brilliant - detailed, clear information.

I found there was a great deal of the science but not much practical advice for an interested lay person. The sections that did contain information on the techniques of massage had insufficient explanations on the process. A useful book then for a veterinary nurse or student but I found it lacked actual get on and do it advice and explanations for an interested horse owner who wanted to be more aware.

Enjoyed this book very much. Use it on a weekly for different issues that arise during a week in the yard. I have experience in relation to people in this area so it nice to be able to read up on your pastime. Some of the book can be a bit deep eg. words and meanings but if your willing to look these up when you meet them you will enjoy the book. Make you very aware of everyday things that you put your horse through and what damage we can cause without knowing. Well worth it.
