Great lock.Handy attachment for fitting to frame. Much prefer this to my D lock. The cage holder takes up less room than a water bottle between the frame (see pic). It felt big when in the packet but it’s small on the bike (see pic).It’s dear but you can feel the quality. I can’t see anyone breaking into it without a lot of effort.Easy to use and enough diameter to fit round a steel bar, railing, etc.Also chained it to a railing and trolley stand, no probs. It obviously doesn’t have the length of a cable but it certainly is stronger.It is heavy, but once on the frame I haven’t noticed extra weight. The weight helps reinforce the feeling of strength. Tbf not much, weight wise, between it and my D lock. I much prefer the foldylock.Bright orange shows would be thief the bike is locked so hopefully that will deter most from poking around at the bike.3 keys with 2 year warranty and key codes for replacing them. The key blades are proper car type keys. But small for cycling with.Defo recommend it.If anyone try’s to steal the bike, I’ll add the outcome to the review.Update - no one has attempted to steal it but a friend who works in security spied it and they couldn’t recommend this brand highly enough.

This is a fantastic lock, well made and packs up reasonably compact with a nice holder you can attach to your frame. It's not the lightest, but that's the compromise for a good strong lock.

For years, I have used a Secure Gold D lock with a cable to lock my bike. This has worked well because of careful selection of locking locations. Recently, I have to lock my bike in a slightly less ideal location on a regular basis. So I feel happier if I have a second lock of a different design to supplement the D lock. Although it is rated Secure Silver, it is a good compromise considering the ease of carrying it, it's weight, quality and design. But locking location is still key. Hopefully the additional security may just sway the bike thief to look elsewhere?

I bought a new bike just under a year ago for my daily commute and wanted a decent 'Sold Secure Silver' lock to secure it and was also a requirement of my insurance policy.I researched quite a bit before opting for the 'Foldy Lock'. I didn't like the 'clunky' nature of the 'D' shaped locks and wanted something compact, yet robust and this fits the bill perfectly.It arrived promptly and as advertised in colours that compliment my bike. The lock is reassuringly weighty, but not unwieldy and the plastic coating means it doesn't mark the frame. The holster works well and has never rattled.For several months I used the lock without issue, but about 10 months after purchase I began to notice the device stiffening and splaying apart. It then became evident that the spacers/cir-clips in the joints were becoming exposed. This meant that getting it into the supplied holster became almost impossible and as a result I contacted support via the web portal.I dealt with Gabriel via e-mail who was patient and understanding of my issue. He advised that the lock could be brought back into normal service by removing the spacers using a pair of pliers which I duly did; however, I didn't feel this was particularly satisfactory for a £60 lock and was also concerned about it voiding my bike insurance (evidence of tampering). As a result my lock was replaced free of charge and have passed the old one to a family member as it still seems robust.In summary, a good lock which satisfies my criteria, but suspect the design could be improved. Coupled with excellent customer service, I have no hesitation in recommending.

My bike insurance needed platinum locks.... I needed something that I would actually use.These fitted the bill, insurance was happy... and I'm happy as they fit in a little bracket on the frame, and that means I'll use it as it's there and not an arse to carry or use.It is a compromise as folding locks have many more moving parts... but a chuffing great D lock is a pain to carry, so might be left behind on the "just going to the chippy" run.They're really well built, and I'm happy that I've done pretty much what I can to stop the opportunist tea leaf.

Light for size and security, not for the most risky areas but good enough for most places. You do have to get snug to a suitable anchor but then very effective

Going on year three with this foldilock. Read about it first, decided it was the right balance of security for me.Really love the key lock which is a little different and less likely to be picked. Fits so easily on bike, folds compact into it's holder, hard to tell it's even there, I get comments on how cool it is. Make sure to check that the holder is tight enough every now and then. I once hit a pothole and the whole damn thing flew off. Not a big deal that one time, but depending on what you're doing if it gets loose on you and you take lots of big shakes it could be a thing.It is noticeably heavy but manageable. I carry my bike just the same even with it mounted. Can wrap around wide items for locking. Pay attention to tips online on how to use it safely and decrease opportunities for people to compromise it. A popular tester on YouTube put it through a lot and it performed quite well.

It was a bit larger than expected, so I was worried about the weight on my new bike. I don't notice it at all.This is the best bike lock I've seen and used. Couldn't t be happier, the colors are fantastic, it mounts securely in its cage, which mounts on the bottle cage bosses with the supplied hardware. AND supplied Allen wrench. We all have a bunch of them, but this one's the perfect size so glad to see it was included.I didn't try the other mounting system.It's easy to use, fun to use honestly the way it folds out.Feels rock solid, no question about it's security.10/10Great value too

It was difficult choosing a great quality bike lock but after reading and watching several reviews, i decided on the Gold Foldylock for my new Ebike.. It's well worth the investment, i don't worry so much about leaving my locked up bike while shopping. If it was for hours and hours while on a hike for example, i would be nervous. This lock unlocks and locks very easily. My wife has different brand and hers is more finicky. This Gold Foldylock is 5 stars.
