Siless 50 mil (1.3mm) 26 sqft Car Sound Deadening mat - Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener - Noise Insulation and Vibration Dampening Material ( 26 sqft)

I used this to insulate the firewall of my 74 Charger while I had the heater box out as the factory insulation turned to dust. It stuck great and was easy to cut and install. I'll also use it on the floors to reduce noise and heat.

Easy to apply, helped lower the noise in my car.

I used this on the roof of my car (and a few other upper horizontal metal surfaces), the thicker butyl rubber sound deadening/thermal insulation mats are very heavy, and I did not want to put them above my headliner. I don't recommend installing this on a very hot day to start. When it gets too hot the rubber/adhesive side tends to stick to the backing paper (unlike the other thicker products I have been using elsewhere in the car), making for a slightly more difficult install. I started keeping the box inside an air-conditioned area, and retrieving sheets individually for installation - that made a big difference in being able to peel the backing paper off. Other than that, make sure when you install, you use the installation roller to force the potential air bubbles out in one direction to an open/unstuck edge, or else air will get trapped, creating a potential adhesion loss area. Other than those issues, it seems to stick well to a properly prepared surface (make sure any cleaning solvent has completely evaporated). It does a fairly obvious job of mitigating resonance in large flat metal panels. Hopefully it will maintain it's adhesion to the painted metal surface for as long as I want it there. Time will tell 🤞.

Used to insulate the wooden Doghouse on my 22' I/O Starcraft. Stapled it in as it didn't seem to stick good to the plywood. Overall I think it will be fine..but haven't heard the difference yet as Im waiting to come out of the cold where I live and have not ran the boat yet

This stuff works great! Don’t just put one piece here and there you wanna cover the entire surface with it. In the pictures above I just did one door and the back of my old truck. Later I did the roof, a pillers, b pillers, and the inside firewall, both doors and the back of the tuck including the floor. It’s dead quiet inside the truck. I no longer hear any squeaks as I’m driving. I can still hear my loud engine but that’s good for me when I roll down the windows it lights all that beautiful exhaust sound come in but if I want it quiet roll the windows back up and this stuff works amazing.

I used this for my car doors during speaker upgrade. Audio sounds better and road noise significantly less. Highly recommended.
