Excellent Looking And Sounding Digital Piano
Fantastic Digital Piano, sounds are great, its a lovely colour and looks professional, the keys feel nice and USB compatibility makes it great to learn with Skoove interactive lessons and tutorials (which came with a FREE 3 month subscription... which I bought in full afterwords)

Great for learning where portability is required but not so great for performing with
Good points - portability its light enough to pick it up with one hand , 61 keys is practical enough and it's not too wide at all. Sound quality of main piano is pretty good, other voices average. Low wattage but adequate enough can run on 6 small aa batteries. Doesn't come with sustain pedal but worth getting one. Keyboard action is keyboardy and not weighted at all. Ideal for structured practise while away from home. Early stages of Learning a new piece, fingering, basic rhythm of piece etc, good low cost, portable, piano style keys, small, light, record function, can use batteries and headphones for private practise. A bit lacking for a performance but great learning tool where portability is required

Great product!
This is my first time playing a digital piano and NP-12 is great (previously played Upright piano). Quality is very good compared to the price. White colour is so nice as well. Delivery is before the expected date so I can enjoy the piano earlier :)

Good beginner product but the quality is not great
We bought this keyboard as a 1st instrument for our 7-year old, who was keen to learn to play piano. This saw him through the 1st grade, and we have now upgraded to a "grown-up" CLP745 digital piano. We kept NP12 as a back up. Unfortunately after just 2 years, all the A and D# keys stopped working. Yamaha cannot help is it's just out of warranty and we will need to pay if we want to repair it.

Really nice and lightweight keyboard
It is a very good keyboard for my daughter to take ti Uni as she cant take her piano. It is touch sensitive and has 61 keys. The volume doesn't go very high, I guess this will require extra speakers. Overall very happy with this and delivery considering the chaos was very prompt.

Excellent instrument for home use - better sound quality than most conventional pianos.
Piano sound quality amazingly good, with volume varying with key pressure. 5 octaves plenty for 99% of music, especially with ability to transpose up/down by an octave. Harpsichord sound also excellent. No nonsensical features. No tuning needed!
